Do you live with and accept consequences of your acts?

Yes Serethil.....understood......and neither you nor I are saying our way is the "proper" way.....so that's fine too :). It was really ALB who said he didn't buy my reasoning behind what I do, hence my verbose explanation.

Whilst my style does not interest you.....bear in mind I did say that my initial response was really aimed at Sah......who absolutely does get me. But I'm happy to chat my stuff over with everyone :)

Whilst you point out that what happens in game stays in that players version of the game......that is kinda only partially true

You see....as soon as you enter the Forum and start discussing a game.....in a way you are breaking down that boundary.....you SHARE your game with friends here. Now maybe we can't affect each other's save games directly ( of course) but we do have some affect upon each other and that CAN carry across into your game.........I have learned things here.....things I have implemented in game.......so is it really only a single player game when Forum buddies can influence your game? Something to think about! :)

Rick, no offense.....but this has gone beyond the titled topic. It's turned into a right/wrong thing, and it's as bad as so many of the CW arguments.

I hate to see it, and I'm done.

Night all, enjoy the game the way you please.

Andra......also no offence intended here.....but NO ONE has said anything about a right or wrong way to play......except you saying you think they have ? (Quote it if we have.....please!)

Serethil, ALBQuirky and I were simply EXPLAINING to each other why we do what we do......not ramming our play styles into each other.......it's a discussion. Which is what a Forum is for...I think? I would respectfully also disagree that it is off topic.....since the topic is about living with consequences or not. Which is exactly the point of Dead is Dead and its converse (reloading).......is it not?

If we have got this wrong somehow.....please do say....specifically. Imo the heated debates on the CW topic bear no relation whatsoever to the genteel chat that we have just enjoyed......

We know Skyrim is a single player game.....we know we can all play it as we see fit......no one is arguing any differently......but just saying this in itself should not imo curtail or prevent us from talking about how we play it.....otherwise...like I said.....what's the point of being here? (shrug)

Perhaps we should not actually discuss things then?......just simply make brief statements of fact!

Personally I have found this thread insightful. I have to admit though over the last couple of pages it has *felt* like folks are apologizing for the way they play their games.

I don't even have this game anymore but I still enjoy participating when the threads can relate to other TES games. I've stated before that I admire DiD players and the limits they place on themselves and their characters. It's just not for me. The one game I did try as DiD a follower got my character killed and it made me really angry LOL.

I like more "relaxed" surroundings when I game so I identify better with the reloaders and I am not ashamed to admit I reload. A LOT. I svck horribly at melee combat and I don't like it. When enemies get too close to me I tend to panic and it creates all kinds of chaos. My husband shakes his head at me and tries to teach me how to do melee but it just doesn't work for me. It's been an issue since my NWN days. and is why I play hybrid archers and mages a lot. Kill stuff before it gets close!

I think I do understand the "self competition" (only phrase I can come up with) that goes along with some DiD players and can relate to the intrigue and excitement that creates.

I've enjoyed watching the discussion unfold and getting some understanding on how others like to play. Just please don't feel bad or feel the need to justify how YOU play your game. :)

Ha ha.....when I rule the world.....which will be quite soon now........everyone will have to play MY way.

My PC and consol firmware patches will auto down load and Legendary Dead is Dead will be the only option.

Also not playing a TES game for at least 20 hours per week (average) will be illegal. My software update will provide my national control centres with time played data on EVERYBODY.

Schools will teach TES history

The Law will be the Lore

What a great time you are all going to have......by order :P
