If You Lived in Tamriel

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:31 pm

I did this idea sometime last year, but it died. The question is: If you lived in Tamriel, what race would you want to be, what province would you live in (For the sake of fairness, let's not consider Infernal City canon in this. Morrowind is fair game), and what would your job be?

Probably a Nord, and in Skyrim, but visits Vvardenfell often.

I'd be a Nord/Breton mix living in Skyrim (but in a more temperate part of the province). I'd probably be a blacksmith who sells his own products, or a student at the Mage's guild.

I'd be a Breton or maybe Khajiit making a living in Bliss as an alchemist.

Edit- wait, would Bliss count? If not, I'd go for Anvil.

Realistically, I'd probably be a Breton in the Imperial City or Daggerfall. Scholar of course.

Ideally, I'd be one of the few higher intelligence Nords.

I'd be an Imperial-Nord-Breton-mix (beat that!) Scout born under the sign of the Thief south-west of Bruma. I'd be clothed in light armor, using a short-blade and a shield. Even though intelligent and capable, I'd stay away from magic. Who needs a fireball when you have a good blade? I'd be a mercenary, who'd travel all Tamriel looking for things to do, combat-related or not. I'd never consider working for anyone with an infamy level over 5, so to speak. I seek to solve problems of the world, not create them.

Even though I'd be a wanderer, I'd try to belong to as many factions as I can. Hopefully I'd be able to keep jobs in the Imperial Legion, the Royal Court of Argonia, the Twin Lamps, and House Hlaalu. Call me foolish, but one day the Imperial Legion's gonna get into a fight with a bunch of Bosmer in Valenwood, and who's gonna be the only Legion member there? Me. One day there's gonna be a huge plantation full of slaves in northern Vvardenfell, and who's going to be the closest Twin Lamps member to that spot? Me. One day there's going to be a camp of Dunmer slavers holed up near the border of Elsweyr, and no Argonian will dare to go near, and I happen to be in a Khajiit town 5 miles from there, and who is the Royal Court of Argonia gonna call? The Ghostbusters, so they can give me a ride because I'm not walking five miles to kill some Dunmer.

And all this leads to $$$$$$!

...

To give back to the people, of course.

A khajiit living in Corinthe, Elsweyr. I'd probably be an artist.

As for race, I would probably either be a bosmer or dunmer. I would probably be an alchemist, or a scholar (in either Valenwood, Morrowind or Cyrodil)

I would probably choose to live somewhere in the northern reaches of High Rock - probably either in Ykalon (now Daggerfall) or the Wrothgarian Mountains. Ideally, I'd like to be a craftsperson of some kind - prior to my father, everyone in my family has been a baker or carpenter of some sort. I'm good with my hands and I definitely find physical work to be far more rewarding than all this academia crap we have to put up with in the modern world.

What race would I be? Well, my Tamrielic equivalent to my actual heritage would probably be a Nord or Breton. Personality wise however, I think I'd be a very good Dunmer. I'm a true workaholic - always trying to occupy myself or be productive, not one for small talk or petty incompetence. I'm loyal to friends and family, but otherwise admittedly skeptical and untrusting. Go figure.

I'd probably be magically talented, but I'd shy away from combat. So being a healer would be my niche, I'd probably work at healing people for money at a young age so that could be my income, of course I'd heal people if they didn't have the money immediately... I'm just that kind-of person. I usually don't have issues with money, and get it in random situations, so "The Tower" would probably be my birthsign.

As for race... hmmm... People have described my skin-tone as being like a "permanent tan", I love nature & animals (I've never been attacked by one), I'm artistic, and I've been told IRL that I have an ability to not be noticed if I don't want to and walk silently. So I'd be a Wood Elf for sure. And shying away from fighting fits it nicely too.

If it were actual race, "Oblivion-ized" then I'd be a mix between Redguard and Breton/Imperial/Nord.

I would be a Dunmer Ashlander living in exile to study the possibilities of magic.

I would probably focus on mysticism. There's probably a lot of amazing secrets yet to be discovered in that school.

You probably (wouldn't) find my yurt nestled in the Sheogorad region... away from the prying eyes of troublesome adventurers, who would probably (try to) stab me and loot my secrets, just cause.

Love these threads....
For my race, well, I love the outdoors, I can move very quietly, I'm fair skinned, light blonde hair. I'm not all that fast but I'm plenty agile, I'm tall, skinny, and I live close to the Mexican border. I'd probably be a Imperial or Khajiit.
I'd live in Cyrodril, but would travel all of Tamriel, and maybe even Akavir if I had the funding. I would be a scout/hunter, working for the Leigon when neccesary. I would have friends in the Mage's Guild who would get me acces to training, and enchanting.
I'd probably settle down somewhere in West Cyrodril, with a beautiful, great woman i'd met in my travels, who would've traveled with me.
I'd use my stockpiles of gold to help the waterfroht, but also to get Restoration spells to prolong my wife and I's lives. And I'd become a legend across Tamriel!

This is hard for me. It's a toss up between Dunmer Telvanni, Bosmer woodsman, or a student at the Arcane University (of whatever race the Nine choose).

I would be a Dunmer, born to an exiled House Indoril noble. I would travel Tamriel as a mercenary, and eventually settle down in Morrowind once I've gathered a large pile of Septims.

Well... Counting about where I come from and from how I see myself... A nord propably. Propably a poor bastard who got recruited into the army, handed a spear or something cheap and then thrown into some witch lair and get killed.

How I would dream myself? The lost Septim. I am going to retake the throne from the Medes. Hopefully they will surrender it peacefully, if not then they are to be killed and the throne shall be mine. I would propably live in Morrowind or Skyrim while waiting for a time to make a move.

I would be a Khajiiti mage who uses their magic skills to steal. Originally I would be from Elsweyr, having lived in Dune for a few years, but I'd take it upon myself to travel where the pickings are better.

I'll be an argonian living in Blackrose as an artist or a musician trying to introduce hard rock/ and heavy metal to Tamriel. My nightjob would be a assassin (shadowscale) for the Dark brotherhood, considering how I was kidnapped at birth when I hatched from my egg by the Dark brotherhood, and taken to Stormhold. When I became an advlt I became one of the only Assassins in Blackrose.
