You main weapon type

Post » Sat Oct 16, 2010 2:44 am

Ok, so we finally got evidence from the art video that there will be polearms, but I wonder, how many of you will actually use it for your main character? I assume that the character you make on the first playthrough is your main character. I'm also leaving shields and magic aside - whatever reason you choose to keep the off-hand free is up to you. Also, if you'll use multiple weapons, I'm refering to your main weapon of choice you'll use the most.

PS. That's quite the number of choices we got this time, don't you think? :)

If I play a nord, axe. If I play an argonian, spear (if available) and long sword. So far, I'm going to make a nord first, and a khornanite at that, so axe first! But now to decide 2 or 1 handed axes...such is the dilemma of a khornanite! Hrmm...I'll say two axes!

Polearm, most likely, as I loved them in Morrowind and longed for them in Oblivion. I may change my mind, however, if they reintroduce sabres...

The classic Sword-and-Shield method. Though I might be inclined to change this strategy. I typically play a Crusader-esque character in any game like this. I like to go in with a sword and shield but also have healing magic at the ready. Since I won't have a free hand all the time to cast a healing spell when I want, I might need to modify my style. We'll see.

Mine is the way of the spellsword - a longsword and a free hand for destruction spells. That's the main loadout, anyway. I'll also do dual-sword and pure mage depending on the situation.

Sword/dagger combo. Schiavona and Maine Gauche. If they aren't in the game I'll make them :).

I'm thinkin axe in one hand, dagger in the other like Mel Gibson in The Patriot. I'm really looking forward to thier new "in depth" and "tactical" fighting system and just spam killing everything by mashing the attack button. I should die alot (i hope).

Sniper Crowbar A bow, or crossbow. Likely pointy-sharp things for melee, maybe a blackjack if they're in.

I think I would use my bow as my main weapon untill they got to me or I went to them or they found me going to a better spot. I would then use 2 short swords posibly? But if there are spears I am using a spear and an ax. Spears can be used 1 handed if they cant il be mad.

Long sword no doubt, what I use in most games. Secondary will more than likely be a bow or, perhaps, a spear if they are included (and look cool animation wise ^^). Off-hand will be for the occasional spell methinks. =)

A bow, assuming it won't be completely useless like it was in Oblivion.

I'll probaly use a bit of everything. Then on my next playthrough be dedicate to something. I like to get a feel for everything before making a final choice.
