And maybe more, as I hope people add to this video's list

So, MrRhexx put this viodeo together: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGEOQJhrKGc.

I had an inkling about Aela and Skor (or heard the theory somewhere), but the rest was news to me

[EDIT]

Dang Typing Mishaps! Title should read: 10 Things You May Not Know About Skyrim Women.

I'm thinking the thing between Skjor and Aela is more about them going hunting during the night, and not exactly them being romantically involved. It is still possible that they were, as the point that she doesn't want to give up her Lycanthropy to join him in the Hunting Grounds makes sense, only I'm thinking that there is a little more to that choice.

Otherwise, there is another reason she doesn't give up her Lycanthropy - if she wanted to be cured as part of the Companions quest, or afterward, then once this is done, the player would be unable to become a Werewolf again without mods. Sure, she may only offer it once at that point(unless you have mods to remove or increase the amount of times she will make you a Werewolf again), but it is significant enough to avoid having Aela cured.

I kinda like it. It reminds me of a neon sign over an establishment out on the turnpike... ;)

I agree with Maxus. Listening to Aela, she sounds like she considers lycanthropy a blessing and almost lives for the hunt. I imagine she prefer to spend eternity in Hircine's hunting ground than swilling mead with a bunch of dead Nords in Sovngarde swapping exaggerated war stories. :twirl:

I've never noticed the shackles in the orphanage. All of my characters who have gone in there have left as soon as possible. The next time one goes inside, we'll have to take a look...that is, if we can stand to be in there that long. *shudders*

Yes, I usually avoid that room. But I had heard about "the shackles" and on one playthrough did go in there. As if that place was not bad enough...

I love the small details like this. I had come across most of these before, but the caravans as potential wedding guests and the orc chief's runaway wife were new information to me, as was the mystery surrounding Sapphire since I've never done the Thieves Guild.

I'm just as unsure as everyone else about presenting it as fact that Aela and Skjor were lovers though. Their relationship is ambiguous enough that such an assumption can't be definitively disproved, but given Aela's willingness if not complete eagerness to marry the PC after the questline wraps up, I'm skeptical. In that light, Aela's conversation with Njada is actually a bit of ironic humor. Njada assumes she's sneaking around to do something relatively mundane (six) while the truth is actually much more unusual (hunting as a werewolf).

What the video definitely gets wrong about this though, is to speculate that the reason Aela won't accept a cure is to be re-united with Skjor in the afterlife. While her motivations for such a decision are unfortunately not explored too deeply, both her dialogue after the PC's initial transformation and what's written in Kodlak's journal make it clear that she was already adamant about rejecting Sovngarde in favor of the Hunting Grounds while Skjor was still living.

That was my take on her when I play. It just seems like she enjoys being a werewolf and hunting :)
