You need to use the Highwayman to travel to DLC.

My questions about the whole car and using it for fast travel are:
1. Gas?
2. How do you know how to drive?

2. In Fallout Universe, car drives you.

2b. Well this is an alternate future, maybe the Highwayman in New Vegas is designed to be driven by buttons instead of a steering wheel and pedals.

Mebbe the manual's still in the glovebox...? Or... you could actually include a branch of the procurment quest to get a drivers training guide, like the ones you find at the DMV.... Get the manual, the unique parts (A/B/C) required to get the car functioning and voila! Working Highwayman!

I'm sure GTS will be ported to F:NV sooner or later. :disguise:

Ehhh, do you know what I would rather see than the Highwayman? A travel system similar to the originals. It would be pretty awesome if each DLC spread across a bunch of smaller areas that you could travel to using that system. That way we can have a large open world map as well as broader travel options.

I don't think so. Wasn't it a dead mod?

Actually, the modder is working on a much larger project called Lost Roads. It's GTS with a lot of locations and a new travel system. Good news, it is planned to be released on New Vegas. I suppose the guy plans to convert all of his work to work with the game.

I don't have a problem with the Highwayman standing in map where I would activate travel to the DLC zone... Seems like a nice way to include the car without having to add drivable vehicles...
As a bonus I would suggest that the trunk of the car be usable as a storage container, like the cooler at Point Lookout, or the mailbox before the Pitt.

Maybe it should be a black '67 Impala sedan.

The highwayman would be a logical addition to FO:NV, to make fast travel a bit more plausible. Think of how much water and iguana-on-a-stick you could save!
