You've played for years and JUST discovered that?!

I started a new game today and when Dad gave me the BBgun I decided to be evil and shoot him which I have done before. The difference this time, I continued until he fell unconcious on the floor, then casually walked over to his body and took a nice birthday photo with dad lol. I haven't laughed that good in awhile.

I killed Butch, you don't get his unique switchblade but its enjoyable. I didn't think you could kill him at that point. Lots of fun stuff like that, punching the Tunnel Snakes until their all knocked out on the floor, etc.

I decided to wander instead of going straight to Megaton and found some destroyed homes. Upon searching through the rubble I found a Tumblers Today in a bath tub, don't remember that.

I'm really enjoying my new playthrough, its been awhile.

That's great. I find my most fun characters were the ones where I haven't played in a while also and just decided to explore around, searching for the random encounters.

Last night I just found the Downed Chinese Pilot for the first time.

I love you for posting this. All this time... *sigh*

It took me a few characters to remember how to turn on the Pipboy light, but this one, I never figured out in the first place. It really is the little things that make a difference. :D

I've read this particular terminal, a gazillion times, and I guess I wasn't reading well enough.

It would have been cool to find a single sample of filgrastim, at the Rivet City Science Lab. Yeah, I just went there.... filgrastim.

Been playing for over four years.

Just discovered today that you can move the world map around with the mouse, so you can fast-travel as far as you like.

I just played the Pitt again and overheard Mona (one of the raiders) telling another raider that she saw the remains of a "runner" on the shore of the river and said the river monster got them. That makes me wonder if there is a big aquatic monster in the Monongahela River. I guess I can dream at least LOL!

I would like to comment on that, but I feel like I shouldn′t

I′ve just played for a year and a half (I think) so I′m no big shot. But I am extremely curious about the games I play and always make sure to find out how it all works. That said, I am known to miss things that′s laying right in front of me :hehe:

Well it's only been a couple of weeks since I discovered you can set the amount of time you wait by moving the little triangle back and forth on the slider bar... :bonk:

Um, no...

I just clicked on the left or right arrows and used the preset hours, like one, seven, thirteen, and twenty four.

Then one day I noticed someone on a youtube video grab that little triangle and set any wait time they wanted...

I just discovered a "neighborly note" in a mailbox located in the ruins of the abandonded town just west of Tenpenny Tower.

No game significance mind you, other than color, but at this point anything new is just great.

I discovered that moving the crates on shelves to see if theres anything inside is a smart thing to do. I don't think I ever did this in the past but I'm finding tons of crap in them. Grenades, meds and skill books!! Move buckets aswell.

Using the grab and move function in general, npcs will get pissed off if you move crap and throwing items at npcs or dropping crap on them can be fun.

One evil example, the woman that approaches you regarding the android, she did so in Megaton. I followed her out, then gunned her down and put her head on display on a rock right outside the entrance.

Lots of fun things you can do, I previously only used the function for decorating my houses. Theres way more you can do with it.

that grab function is how i stole some items without being caught.

Now that I'm not such a pack rat.. I don't bother taking that one sensor module on whoever's desk.

After over 2000 hours in the game I just found out that the console command TFC 1 works in FO3. It enables the flying camera but also freezes time.

Yes indeed. In fact it's a good bit of trekking to do "the northern route" right across the top border of the game, east to west or west to east, makes little difference. It's chock full of quite a few little curiosities and surprises.

Some things I noticed when switching from old tube television to HD screen. I saw the thumb print on the Pipboy screen for the first time. And the enclave start putting up new posters over the billboards when they show up in the main quest. I cannot believe I never noticed that...

It also took me about three years of playing before I noticed the duds and amount replenished option when hacking computer screens. Man I would have liked to know that back in 08.
