You've played for years and JUST discovered that?!

Post » Fri Sep 27, 2013 2:23 am

After hundreds of hours, a bricked computer and 2 gamer tags later... I just found Rockopolis and yes, Argyle. I didn't expect him to be dead nor did I expect the size of Rockopolis to be what it is. I'm sure I've been around that part of the map dozens of times but I would have never found it without that random light shining from the top of the entrance. It was night time, after all. This puts me at presumably, 90% completion. Or somethin'.

You've got hours and hours logged into this game. So, what was your latest discovery?

Ha ha. As cool as it was for me to walk into that place, it didn't seem feasible for it to happen. Plus, poor Harold must have been tired from walking so far.

I've just discovered a district of D.C that I didn't know existed, La feme or somethIng. I hate navigating through D.C, but it gets fun after a while cause it takes time to discover every location of it.

Well, last time i played a week ago or so, i found a new way to resolve the Trouble on Homefront quest. If you find info on an impending raid on the rebels and mention it to the Overseer, he will step down from his position.

Also since i included Encalve in the scene earlier than usual, i discovered some camps i hadn't seen before. Sneak, Silenced Sniper Rifle and a Sentry Bot or a mind-controlled deathclaw = a lot of fun  Also, saw some Vertibird overflies and troop drops in DC.

In my last game, I learned what those triangles on the compass were. :stare:

When I found Rockopolis, I was also surprised at what it was. Ironically, I would have never discovered this place if it wasn't for me breaking one of my player's rule, and that was no traveling at night.

In FO:NV, my last game was dedicated to finding every area in the game. With the Explorer perk, that was a 100% success. In FO3, this is still incomplete, so much so, I have yet to find the crashed alien ship despite reading of its location.

So, I'm rather glad I still have things to find. :P

I actually found Rockopolis a few days ago , recorded it and uploaded it on my channel.

I aswell never seen that place before or ever heard of it. Was really nice , but sad to find Argye dead =/

Anyway , my latest discovery that i had never found before was Dogmeat...If i had known he was in the place the whole time i would have got him a long time ago.

The downtown D.C. is a pain to explore , a real damn maze , but you can find some pretty awesome things over there.

L'enfant, perhaps? Yeah, I agree. I'm still not sure if I've navigated the

entirety of the D.C. Metro area.

Wow, I had no idea of that you get the Overseer to step down! Also, I have found that Enclave crew. Sad thing was, I didn't know there was a controlled Deathclaw until I had already killed the Enclave officers instead of pick pocketing his mind-control device. Bummer, wanted to try out my pet Deathclaw.

Do you have the DLCs? That crashed ship is the same location one where you get beamed up for Zeta, right?

Man, I shot him the first time..had to reload a save.

On my first NV character, it's 12:32 a.m. right after getting home on release night, I finally make my character and walk out to the saloon. My friend says, "Hey phone for you." I go to answer it, quick chat, closer, bye! Then I come back to my game and my friend is freakin out because he 'accidentally' threw a stick of dynamite at Ol' Easy Pete...to make matters a bit more sour, he runs into the saloon to get away from bullets. Well, autosave was not my friend.

Inaugural Fallout: NV character, effectively ruined. So I restarted...

I find I have a much easier time heading west to the spot rather than trying to come from any other direction. I can always see the crash path from a distance on the hillside before I can even see the ship itself. which is admittedly a little small compared to the trench.

I have Broken Steel but have yet to play it. It's not even installed simply because I don't want to face critters that'll make me pee my pants.

:D

You're talking to someone who didn't find the Scrapyard until the third game. I'm not kidding. I've walked around one of the largest areas in the game simply because I didn't alter my path enough to "stumble" upon it. That's why I was curious how people found this stuff. Then I learned about how to actually use my compass.

I've not done a 100% location find game in FO3, but the next time I play it, I will (even if I have to get the perk to do it). Right now, I'm playing the AC franchise again. I needed an FO break.

Sure does.

Ironic. I can find this place but miss the Scrapyard.

L'Enfant Plaza is brutal at high levels. This is a serious moneymaker, if you can survive. I love watching the crazy of two Enclave patrols, two Super Mutant Patrols, and three Overlords. Sometimes I get too close to the action. :bonk:

It was pure madness.

WHAT!?!

I've heard of people oblivious to fast travel for a dozen hours, and people that didn't know that you could hold the 'A' button on Xbox to drink from water sources but never someone not knowing about VATS. Especially, for a whole play through!

These are for you, :icecream: :trophy: .

No one's topping that.

You win, sir. Lock the thread down. Ha ha!

Last night I discovered a chess set that was made from little Garden Gnomes. It is in the Satcom Array with the Raiders.

oh ya no doubt. I had a game where I made every raider in the capital wasteland my friend except for D.C. I gave up on finding every raider in D.C. ya I know I'm going to forget that name once I log off. Gotta make a log of where I go in D.C to make sure I got it all

no problem got it off YouTube you can mesmetron people and make them your friends. I tried to pickpocket stuff into their inventory but didn't always work. It was really fun when the enclave came they killed many of my raiders and we in turn killed hundreds of them

I was re-reading this thread when I noticed this post, obviously skipped before.

Silenced sniper rifle? In FO3?

You should turn the sound up. None of the sniper rifles in the game are silenced. ;)
