Do you prefer Elder Scrolls or Fallout?

I know it's probably been posted a thousand times, but I searched and didn't see one, so I made it.

I prefer fantasy to SF so Elder Scrolls. FO3 is a good game though and make me hopeful that Skyrim will be a better game than Oblivion.

I enjoy both, I don't think I have a preference between the two.

Fallout, based mostly off of 1 and 2. Never was a big The Elder Scrolls fan though, so FO kinda wins by default.

Even though I like the two, I vary to whichever one is out. So now I'm a huge Fallout nut. That and me being a fallout fan for a long time, I checked Fallout.

I love them both to death, but I think I'd suffer a second death for Elder Scrolls.

Uh, both. I played Fallout first (starting with Fallout 2), then Oblivion then Fallout 3.

Depends on the individual game. I've been playing both since they were created. I think I enjoy the Fallout setting a bit more, but both series have had their highs and lows.

I only got into Fallout because of Fallout 3. But because of Fallout 3, I was able to get the old Fallout games. I never played them yet, so for me, while I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas, I would say I prefer TES over Fallout series.

Elder Scrolls. I find the whole post-apocalyptic setting to be boring personally.

The Elder Scrolls. I have tried Fallout 3 but i just don't really like the setting, the most interesting part of the game was the first 30 minutes if you ask me. I like the medieval fantasy stuff but not exclusively. Infact i bought Alpha Protocol just because i wanted to try something new and Mass Effect 3 is easily my most anticipated game together with Skyrim. I wish more developers would try something new instead of using fantasy. It seems the MMO developers is more willing to do this but sadly i only like single player rpgs. Anyway, i like the idea and i respect the franchise because it's unique but the setting is just depressing and boring... perhaps New Vegas is better. I never tried it since i didn't really like Fallout 3.

Fallout. I couldn't get into Oblivion at all, and although I haven't tried the others I doubt I'd like them any more, I just don't really get on with LOTR-esque fantasy.

Once upon a time, I preferred the typical fantasy environments. Magic/mages, swords, all that. Somewhere down the line I've become rather tired of it tho....just played games w/that theme far too often. So right this second I'd have to say I prefer the Fallout environment. Or a sci-fi environment. I still like fantasy, just bored of swords & sorcery stuff.

While I liked Morrowind a lot when it came out, I also couldn't get into Oblivion at all. I tried...but it didn't do a thing for me. Been there, done that.

Easily Elder Scrolls. Good to see the poll results heavily favoring it.

I much prefer fantasy settings to science fiction ones altogether. I love everything about Fallout 1, but the series after that has been somewhat flaky (yes, even the much-acclaimed Fallout 2 really isn't as awesome as everybody thinks it is compared to its predecessor). The Elder Scrolls, on the other hand, continues to impress me.

It is the Beth forums, with a lot of long-time Beth RPG fans around. It's not surprising. It could easily go another direction elsewhere. Er...not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with that. But polls like these on game forums, the results are rarely a surprise. :D

Fallout is part of the beth line up and alot of members here signed up because of the bgs published FO games. So I don't know how biased this poll is... but its just a poll, and both are very deserving series.

Elder Scrolls, Fallout limits you tom ouch with its setting, well at least when compared to TES.

Although I prefer the Elder Scrolls as a series of games, I think that Fallout 3 was the best game ever made by Bethesda, with the possible exception of Morrowind.

Fallout all the way.

Elder Scrolls just has too many elves.

Call me racist if you must, but I just HATE elves.

Given how this place was known as the Elder Scrolls Forums for years before Bethesda got their hands on Fallout, I'd say it's pretty biased.

Personally, I like post-apocalyptic settings in books and films but find them incredibly dull and uninteresting in games, so despite Oblivion it is still an easy win for Elder Scrolls for me.
