Do you preordered the game?!

Post » Sun Jan 10, 2010 9:46 am

I will not pre-order and might even not buy when:
- it's Fallout in Skyrim,
- there's no CS
- the DRM is intrusive and requires authentication servers to be ran,
- it has the same flaws as Oblivion, generic/bland story line, extensive leveled scaling issues, underwhelming cities and setting, consolified UI, etc.

Since there's still a year minus a month to go before release, I'm not in a hurry te pre-order.

Your first worry doesn't even make sense

Your second is nonsense because the exclusion of the CS would hurt their sales too much (Bethesda knows that the modding community is what kept Oblivion and morrowind alive so long).

Bethseda is too smart to use DRM

And what the hell makes you think that Bethesda would see how popular the mods that fixed those issues were and STILL make the same mistakes as in Oblivion?

I'm waiting for the special edition and I'm waiting for Bethesda to tell us what the system requirements will be so I know if my computer will be able to run Skyrim and if not what graphics card I'll have to go buy.

There is no point to argue here, he just hopes that none of the above will happen

Is there ANYTHING bad that could happen with preordering now?I normally don't care for preorder extras so that doesn't concern me but if worse comes to worse would they be able to somehow lose my money on the preorder or something?
I mean I just don't understand why ppl are not preordering now, like besides the preorder extras is that the ONLY reason? Anyplace you preorder at SHOULD allow you to upgrade to the CE version of the game when they get info that they can after all.

Have grammar you?

And I'm going to wait until I see more Gameplay footage and what the engine is capable of before I make a decision.

No. I'm sure Steam will have enough copies when it's released. Gamestop can kiss my axe.

Heck no! I at least want to see what Skyrim is about, if my comp can handle it and what the collector's edition will contain.

I've never found a need to preorder. it's just a gimmick to predict sales.

I wait in line with everyone and just buy a regular copy, they have extra copies there 95% of the time.

(i suppose it would be different if I lived in a bigger city)

Thats true but than again some times I have had the issue where if I didn't preorder they wouldn't have any copies in stock for me on release date.
This has happend to me a few times back like I would go into the store, ask if they had a certain game that just came out that I didn't preorder and they said no because all of the copies they had were preorder ONLY, so ever since than I have preorderd.
