When Crytek launched free patches with maps for Crysis Warhead?
Man, that were old good times... with amazing maps like Sabana, Frost, Ruins...

What happened to you Crytek?

Yeah, Crysis 2 ripped off Call of Duty.
Gameplay, multiplayer, killstreaks, etc...
And now they want rip off their profits selling us DLCs XDDD

I'm afraid that the Crysis community isn't the CoD community, and at least on PC that DLC won't sell well.

Instead, they're going to lost costumers for Crysis 3 o whatever game they launch afterwards. A very clever move.
At least I'm not going to buy another game from some people that sell DLCs two months after the release.
Is like buying a TV and see how a week later the shop tries to sell you the remote control.

What is the point of this thread besides from making OP less bored and satisfied his need to be a bit attentional? It's obvious that Crytek never will answer to this kind of thread, not because they don't want to, but because they don't need to... so once again what is the point?
Or is this just another trashcan for complains about Crytek, their policy, game which they make?

Dude, if you're happy with the current state of the game and don't have any complaints then feel yourself free to leave this thread.
But don't join here to bich about our concern for the direction Crytek is taking against his costumers.

This is Crytek's forum, the best place where post our complaints, if the mods don't want read them then they'll just delete this post.

By the way, the purpose of this thread more than bash Crytek for the DLC is searching an explanation of how the politics of a company could change so much between these two games.
Crysis 1/Warhead: PC user friendly, patchs and maps free, good community communication.
Crysis 2: PC user hostile, bad support service, barely any communication, paid DLCs.

Microsoft partnership and stronger ties to their publisher with EA. Crytek still made a quality product. They don't get to choose if their DLCs are free or not. Not anymore. That's up to EA. Back in the Crysis 1 and Warhead days, they were allowed that opportunity to choose if the DLC was free or not (because they weren't a major EA developer at the time, like now).

That's all

I would, but this thread is not about me having good fun with game, or about you not having fun. This thread it is another reason to whine about something =)

They should shut down this forum, and leave just updates, there is no use out of posts like this one anyway :X

Stop dreaming, dude.

Crytek signed a contract with EA, nobody obligued them to sign. It's their fault too.
DICE is published by EA too and all their maps packs were free.

And last option, they still could publish themselves their games like anothers developers do.
It's no excuse pointing to EA and say is their fault. Crytek & EA both are guilty of greed.

Thats if they allow u to be able to make maps for mutliplayer they might only make it so u can make maps for single player so they can profit of mutliplayer.

I thought of that too but there are some weird things at work Sure we're getting a SDK and all that goodness, HOW will we test our maps? We need to have some form of server locally right?

Our MP could actually be worth something?! How can that be! Put an extra price on the other half of the MP maps immediately! We absolutely can't spoil our retail customers with a single half-decent aspect in our game!

Yeah that was the last drop for me. **** you crytek!
