Do you remember ...

Wait that counted as hate on vanilla?

I'm going to agree with Failure here. Statements like: "When ragdoll physics svcked horribly," and "When Magic was boring," are unconstructive and inflammatory.

I'm on console, so meh... i wouldn't mind a few but most don't really impress me (yes, I have browsed tesnexus, despite not being able to use mods... I thought I was going to buy it for PC, okay?)

Sometimes I wonder if I was better off without mods. I used to be restrained to either playing on a PS3, or a Laptop not suited for gaming, but the high processing power and RAM kept it running at least 25-30FPS on 720*480 with most settings on high. I chose to use the PS3, and it was my most fun time playing Oblivion. I remember my first character, a Nord Warrior who became a Vampire early on and I completed the main quest in about three days on him. I did the Daedric quests afterwards and a few side quests in town before I decided to buy the GOTY Edition. I cured my character's vampirism before I bought it, and became the Divine Crusader and Sheogorath, not to mention the Fighter's Guild Master and a member of the Order of the Virtuous Blood. Back then, I didn't constantly exit my game to install and configure mods that I would end up deleting in the future anyway. I haven't beaten the main quest or any expansion except KOTN since my purchasing of a powerful gaming PC and the PC GOTY Edition. Also, using the console has become regular for me, and just a few hours ago I was finishing up Kvatch quests and I just couldn't let anyone die, I kept using "resethealth" on each Soldier.

But honestly half the mods out there are either eye candy or some wierd God swords that just look unruly.

Kinda agree. There are a lot of anime-inspired stuff out there that just doesn't fit in Oblivion lore. I don't like them either. But there are also some http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=33482 that are 100% lore-wise, too.

I just can't sit at my pc for hours playing a game and developing an orc posture, not to mention the migraines. I've tried and failed; it's an armchair and 360 controller for me every time. So no mods, and no back problems in later life ,a fair trade if you ask me.

I remember for sure (mostly because I came back to Oblivion and tried my first mod yesterday),

When levelling up was optional.
When I had to scroll to look through my skills and my inventory.

Now I got OOO and Darnified UI though, so no more. :)
