Honestly yes. They aren't initially hostile, but that is quickly corrected :hehe:

I do, I think it was fairly obvious to see Obsidians intentions on making them the antagonists. NCR has much more focus than the Legion, more quests and you see them more, and the NCR is sort of portrayed as the good guys, in a viewpoint that many people today (who play fallout or not) would see as being good, with their democracy and all that. That would make the NCR the protgonist.

The antagonist is just the opposition of the protaganist, the antagonist doesn't have to be evil just oppose the protagonist, whcih the Legion do quite well.

So with that said, again I think the Legion was meant to be the antagonist.

That could not be much further from the truth. By pure definition, the Legion is not the antagonist, and by definition once again, the NCR is neither a protagonist protagonist.

Making Caesar's Legion the token evil faction in FNV was never Obsidian's intention. They just didn't have time to flesh them out with more settlements and quests. Frankly, it all comes down to perspective - Nothing more.

The "Protaganist" is the courier so the Legion could be antagonist or protagonist

In my game the Legion is no longer an antagonist because the only part left are the occasional assassination squads I run in to. That could make the finale interesting (if I go there, too many other things to do still) because Caesar is dead and so is every Legionnaire I run in to, so who from the Legion will be at Hoover Dam?

Had they been smart like NCR and just not wanted me working for them when I made it obvious I side with Mr. House, I'd be letting well enough be, but the Legions 'Non-comprimising' attitude has been their undoing.

If you consider the courier the.big protagonist then NCR and the Legion would be the antagonist. The only way they wouldn't is if Legion ending is canon.

The protagonist is the hero of the story if fnv is the story the courier is the hero therefore yourside is the protagonistic side and all oposition are antagonists

So then do you admit your wrong? Since there is no established canon and the legion is the antagonist 3/4 of the time

@Swag me out, I never said Caesar's legion was evil. You got me on the ncr thing :) but still the legion is an antagonist, but not necessarily the villain

Its not about numbers what I mean to say is that the Legion isn't the antagonist all the time
