Seeing as this was a well received feature in Fallout 3, I believe there's a fair chance this will be in Skyrim as well.

YES!!!

A feature like this better be in Skyrim...

I'll take it one step further... I'd like to be able to change my facial appearance in game, as well as my hair and facial hair styles. Fallout 3 had these features with the facial surgeon guy and the robot butlers and such. I see no reason why their can't be some mage or something who can change your appearance in game...

Your robot butler in your megaton house could do it. I'm sure there are other ways for people who blew up megaton but I don't know them

I really hope to see this in Skyrim.

There's some old guy in the broken of part of Rivet City, you have to swim underwater to get there. His name is Pinkerton. He's part of a quest that deals with the history of Rivet City I think, and also the Replicated Man quest

Nevermind, that's changing your facial features :P

Really? I didn't know it was Pinkerton who did that. I never could figure out who could give you plastic surgery. Maybe it's because I never finished the replicated man quest.
Anyway I digress.

They could explain plastic surgery in Skyrim as some kind of magic. However it's more of a feature I want because after spending hours creating a character it hurts to notice one little detail you messed up causing you to re-start. So, if they just gave me good lighting and a kind of free-form camera to look at my character while in the creation process I would be happier.

Edit* typo

Pretty much, although cosmetic surgeries have been performed in real life since antiquity. The ancient Egyptians with wealth for example would often get nose jobs and other procedure's done. And what better anesthetic than Magic.

Well, there's booze and/or a blow to the head. Or you could be a man and not have any pain killers!

Yet, magic is the ES equivalent of Nitrous oxide.

Indeed, and it might even make sense in Skyrim - hair growing magic I can see (one of the new spell effects? :D), but hair growing in a wasteland? Yeahno.

NO!! I do not want to be able to change my face! Because then people will complain about not aging and whatnot! And I don't think its very realistic to go from a young, dark imperial to an old, gray Imperial in a matter of minutes.
Leave it at hair - e.g, your hair & beard gradually grow longer, and you have the option to trim it, or restyle it at the press of a button. But then that should be realistic, you shouldn't be able to go from a cropped hairstyle to a ponytail.

But if you can change your face easily it would appease both parties - the agers can age, and the "wait, it's only been 3 weeks"ers can age very little.

I do think hair should grow. 60 In game days would have your old hairstyle gone away, but you could always get it back by going to certain shops. And change it there too! :)

There will be plenty of mods that offer a variety of hair styles.

Indeed. But I can't actually imagine roleplaying a girl and actually being outside the kitchen.

They could restrict the age slider. And if you don't like it you can always not use it.
