You should be thankful there is no DX11 support

So what you are saying, if I read this correctly, is that DX11 is a marketing gimmick. EA who announced a groundbreaking game used this gimmick to seduce customers with the suggestion of DX11 support in an effort to get more people to buy the game and or the hardware to play it at full settings, before they released a game that has no DX11 support and the people that bought the game (and maybe new hardware to enjoy it) should be thankful. There's no need to dwell on over two years of promises about how this game will surpass its predesixr when they release a game that is technically inferior to the previous version.

Or have I missed your point somewhere?

You said that people can't see the difference between DX9 and DX10, have you researched that, if you had you might have seen http://www.incrysis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=511.

In 2009 a lot of information was being put out about Crysis 2, one of the biggest claims being made at that time was that it would have support for DX11, this claim generated a lot of discussion on forums by fans of the original Crysis game everywhere. DX11 is not just something that fans wanted to see for marketing reasons, it was a much anticipated feature that these fans wanted to experience, instead what they got was this, and for many that's like being slapped in that face, not something I express gratitude for, to tell the truth. The fans want something that would test both their hardware and their skills like the first Crysis did, and they ended up with something that wouldn't even test hardware that was available when the first game came out. I'm about as thankful for that as I would be if I went to see my favourite band in concert and found that the lead singer couldn't be there so they had a stand in to mime to a backing track instead.

Well guys theres really no difference between dx9 and 10. I played Crysis on Very High on Windows XP which is not supporting dx10. Its just dx9 but theres other code. However we're all waiting for dx11 patch because of some reason from the past. About 2 years ago Crytek said C2 will blow our minds, they were supposed to focus on the graphic side of game and C2 was supposed to be magnificent. Most of us bought new graphic cards or c2 with conviction it will have the best of the best graphic they've ever seen, but its not. If C2 was similar to new Unreal Engine we would say they kept their words. Unfortunatly they didnt.
