do you think we are going to have are equipment taken in HH?

I'm guessing "yes" and I don't mind.

As long as we get it all back at some point - during or after; whatever

you don't get to keep anything from the simulation the simulation completion just grants you acess to the vult

You misunderstand.

I mean entering the computer simulation and finding out my Molerat killin' stick is still in my inventory.

But it sounds like you don't know about the Gary Glitch. How'd you like to keep everything you pick up in the simulation? All indestructible and in perfect condition? Not to mention thousands of rounds of ammo?

I hate it when DLC does that. Two reasons. One: I get a bit attached to my current loadout, and Two: I don't trust the weapon stripper scripts with my mod-added guns.

i agree with the being attached part it is kinda annoying but then if you didn't lost your stuff youd never really appreciate the weapons and armor that you can get in the DLC also youd never be able to carry it all.
put your stuff somewhere safe then....
As for getting your stuff taken as some people have said only if theres a viable explanation for why it's happening like being gased or some such.

I originally made a joking thread about this "how many ways are there to conk someone on the head"

I'm sick and tired of them taking our stuff via increasingly contrived methods.

It's cheap and lazy design and could be worked around.

Hopefully we will have everything taken from us. I'd rather not go in destroying enemies with the Holorifle. Gimme some new tribal weapons to try out.

you can always leave your weapons at home, in the lucky 38.

Problem with losing your stuff is players that prefers to use Energy weapons and Power Armor(namely myself) lose their edges. DM had a smart touch that giving the player the Holo-Rifle in low condition with bulky M. Cells.

Player should lose it's equipment in order to have challenge and a better experince but he should have access to heavy armors, energy weapons etc. A tribal power armor which is even weaker than a t-45 would be a nice touch for characters with PA traning and it may lead into good rp opportunities as well. Being forced use a rusty laser rifle would be fun too.

I'm just don't like it when a DLC forces the player into using guns, wearing light armor and etc

I thought DM did it pretty well all weapons got covered pretty well and you only got light armor but it was the best light armor around you can't expect power armor to be everywhere. I'm for having our equipment taken otherwise it's going to be near impossible to balance the combat since you could have anything from fairly low tier weapons up to the tier 5's and anywhere in between they balance it for lower tiers everybody complains its too easy they balance it for tier 5's anyone not carrying one thinks its way too hard the easiest solution is to take everything and represent each weapon and armor class with a few choices, armor being less important since theres no skill for it and thus works equally well for any build.

like i said before, leave your weapons home if you don't want them.

Heading to the new DLC I am only going to take the Reinforced Sierra Madre Armor and a shishkebab. I love the shishkebab, with some decent crit and pyromaniac it's probably the strongest weapon by weight, not including the alien blaster until we find a renewable ammo source. I'd take a few weapon repair kits and my weightless AID items. I would try out new gear as I go through the DLC while also having decent gear to fall back on and having a ton of inventory space to haul as much loot back as possible.

actually the "ballistic fist" is pretty good too. i have my unarmed skill maxed out, and i'm getting 113 dps/105 dam. i'll prob just take that in, along with a long range weapon, and maybe the 12.7mm smg (333dps), and some repair items. i actually enjoy being "god-like" in video games(atleast after 200+ hrs of gameplay), unlike some of these folks.

Amen to that. *Especially* after going out of my way to earn the XP to become "god-like"

But when it comes to DLC, it's kind of a good thing to get humbled by having all gear stripped. I feel it gives me a new appreciation for the game - plus I am forced to explore every corner of the DLC for gear (which restores the joy of discovery).

I've already got my fella stripped naked, weaponless with no items of any actual weight. He's just sat there on the couch in my L38 suite, just sat there, waiting for something to do...

No I don't think so because Honest Hearts looks like a Point Lookout style DLC But this is just my educated guess from the little leaked information we have

We kept our weapons in Point Lookout. I think.

Yea they let us keep our equipment in Point Lookout mostly because the enemies were twice as hard as any Super Mutant in Fallout 3

Not really, man. The only two where you had to go the whole DLC were Dead Money and Op: Anchorage, and you get equipped pretty damned fast.

Me, I'm going in naked and unarmed. Let 'em try to take my stuff.
