I think I get you, you mean you start the game but you don't pick up the MQ until a little later?

I hope not, but I do think it will be.

Ever played X Rebirth? In the main menu you can select 2 different starts. One start lets you "enjoy" the story, the other is just a sandbox and does not allow you to start the MQ at all. That′s what I meant.

This would be a good outcome for everyone involved, i wish more people agreed rather than restrict

So long as it's Fallout 2 style [play past end], rather than Broken Steel style; I think most would be fine with that.

I'd even be fine with that. :shocking:

(Even if it wasn't optional, but mandatory.)

I prefer it not to so that the choices you made throughout the game can be more meanigful, but going by the backlash they got with vanilla FO3 then it'll be open ended after the main quest. Me personally I would have no problems with the ending after the main quest; I'm in the camp that Broken Steel actually broke FO3 imo.

I think we can all (mostly) agree that FO3 wasn't handled right. Hell, someone mentioned earlier that Todd even admitted it.

i can agree with that, loved the game the ending left me scratching my head. i agree friend, a lot of our arguements may come from how bethesda handled FO3

I think there gonna have an end sequence with the slide show and all that, but I think they should show the aftermath. Like a month later then play as the player character and maybe do some clean up quests and a free roam so the player can see their handy work.
