Do PC gamers whinge too much at everything. Do we expect developers to make one version of the game for us, and a completely seperate version of the game for consoles?

All I see on the PC part of the forum is crying. No information. No community building. Just crying, I end up browsing the Xbox forum for some tips and tricks to the game. All the PC section is full of is "WAAAAH THIS BLADE OF GRASS IS LOW RES!" "NO DX11 **** GAME!" "THIS ISNT AS GOOD LOOKING AS CRYSIS" (side note have you actually played crysis 1 recently? it looks like trash compared to c2)

Anyway, i'm just curious as to what the rest of the community think about PC gamers when it comes to multi-format games.

Lets just put it this way, in any other profession if you sold a product as unfinished as video games tend to be these days a lot of people would be out of jobs. Jets would fall out of the sky daily, tires would roll off cars, your tv would go up in a burst of flames 10 seconds after you turn it on, etc etc etc. Now it's not always the developers fault, they have to meet deadlines and all that set by the publishers (EA in this case) or whoever else.

Don't get me wrong, I love Crysis 2 but it should have been delayed at least another 2-3 months if not more.

Well seeings how consloes have the WORST possible graphics abilities and their games only last a month. PC gamers unlike you console peasents, have standards for games we dont want a 5 day play then move onto the next we want a 2 year game the kicks ass so hard that new games have trouble competing.

First of all you cansole fans cut off our accses to halo and gears of war series.We pc gamers made life of halo when it launched by making it populer.Then producers stoped producing game for us.why?simple escuse we pirate?You know you can also pirate console game.so son't give me a ****.

WHO **** CARES ABOUT GRASS OR THE TEXTURES OF A MAILBOX. And yes. I do own a "desent" pc whatever the hell that means. And Crysis2 flows and looks better than C1. Oh except for the low res grass ofc. C1 did look amazing. But its dated as **** now. Also learn to **** spell before you run around with your bottom of the barrel "kid" insults.

This 'multiplatform game' just happens to be made worse on PC than any ported game I have played. There are valid arguments behind that, not just graphics, plus this game is nothing like it's predecessors and closer to CoD.

These poll options are ridiculous. Anyone who denies the valid arguments is just a fanboy in denial. This release was one of the worst, like it or not.

Mostly People are complaining because they feel that Crytek didnt deliver what they promised and feel that the game had certain features left out do to its consolization, I know I did.
As for the way people act, have you ever played online on an Xbox you get 10 kids running around shouting Jew and Nigger and other racial slurs for no reason.

You're joking right the only reason PC sales have gone down is because companies are making more console exclusive games, also the figures for PC sales on Cry2 only show physical copies and not digital downloads through things like steam

lol i so disagree with you, PC is for MASTERS and console.. yea its fun but still little brother of all PC's!!

We cry because of what this game has been turned into. PC got the worst version. No Advanced Graphics options, No DX11 (not that I really care), crappy textures, LACK OF A **** ANTI HACK IN MUTLIPLAYER, FOR **** SAKE MW2 HAD BLOODY VAC AND IT WAS A CONSOLE PORT. Not to mention the lack of proper relation to the first games story, we never find out about Nomad or psycho.

I feel sorry for cry babies who hate Crysis 2 just because the graphics are not better than Crysis.
They should buy a movie on Blue ray disc and watch it intead of playing games.
And I love it when PC gamers often assume people like TC "consoler noobs". It turns out he's a PC gamer too lol

I understand the game isn't perfect, but the PC gamers do tend to complain endlessly. It's a classic case of PC elitism.

I wouldn't go as far as to suggest that they all think this way; there ARE some PC gamers here who are entirely capable of a mature discussion; but too many are all to happy to descend into childish whining over trivial matters.

1) smaller player count
2) smaller maps
3) circle strafing
and as a PC gamer, I find that we generally complain about things that need fixing. You Console gamers cry less because once developers hop on the console porting band-wagon they pretty much ditch any type of pc support and give it all to Consoles.

I disagree. PC gamers will be whinging about dust clouds and comparing it to BC2. Also, I am a PC gamer primarily as I stated earlier in the thread. And the behaviour of many PC gamers is appalling. No wonder devs want to develop games for consoles primarily to make money. If I was a game dev all you would get is Xbox ports cos PC gamers are a bunch of ungrateful crybabies don't deserve any additional bonus' to push more powerful hardware etc.

This game being a prime example. Bugs will get fixed in time. And hackers...well hackers infest every pc game these days so I appreciate what Crytek is attempting to do to stop them. But those issues aside. The singleplayer was epic, probably more so than Modern Warfare's in terms of roller coaster ride gameplay. And the multiplayer is easily the best multiplayer mode since the days of UT04.

The ironic part of all the PC gamers whining is theyre going to bich and bich and bich...and at the end of the day still play it...BEGRUDGINGLY!!! Its kind of funny to think in the last idk 5 years gamers went from semi decent folks that can enjoy playing a game wether its PC or Console... ( I personally own a great gaming pc, and every console...and before anyone says **** I paid for it all with hard work and long hours) Crysis 2 ...while not the most revolutionary game at points is still an absolutely phenomenal title ...(Ive played Crysis 1 and all the Far cry titles) If you guys wana talk about **** ports... play Far Cry instincts...I honestly have never felt that ive wasted so much money in my entire life then when i bought that POS. Anyhoo the game is fine graphically and most importantly gameplay wise...this game could look like ass and id still enjoy it for the fact that the suits mechanics work great and the multiplayer is so superb that I will buy everysingle bit of DLC or xpacs they release for this game...and for the "hardcoe PC ELITISTS" if you dont like this game...go back to your basemant bich some more and stop playing we "TRUE GAMERS" will not miss you:D.....

Yeah, hackers everywhere on MP doesn't give them the right to complain! They should enjoy hackers kicking their elitist ass! Also, nano catalysts reseting and failing to log in means they should just quit biching and stop playing! They already got their $60 worth! It went to a good cause! In addition, they should then buy the console version of the game and start complaining about PC gamers complaining! They need to join the right side of the argument and stop complaining about "blades of grass!"

Also, why do they need an editor? If the game is broken they need to buy DLC to help support the game being fixed! Just because the first game had an editor doesn't mean the second one needs it. Expecting teh second game to have an editor is a baseless assumption that came out of nowhere. The same goes for Crysis being a graphical benchmark! All is solved by purchasing DLC. Don't worry!
