Oh wow, I actually assumed that was the mistake on your part... guess this is kind of awkward :P.

I'd love to see Hellfire again, although yeah I wouldn't use the helmet in my custom suit.

Just as long as there's some badass Tesla Armor and it actually reduces Energy Weapon damage instead of buffing the skill.

I always thought the Hellfire armor had and excellent silhouette, and i loved the way everything seemed to be tight but large. All of the other power armors seemed too wide in the shoulders especially the Enclave variants ,F3,F2,and FNV.

I'm also glad we are getting cannon reps for what power armor is in this game.

These ugly hunchback of Notre Dame cockroach armors do not look intimidating at all, just plain ugly. The Hellfire armor in 3 was nice( and so were the other Enclave armors), but the pig helmet wasn't.

See, I was under the impression that the East Coast APA was the result of the Enclave losing its power. This so called "advanced power armor" ended up being just barely better than T-45d armor, and worse than the T-51b. I always assumed it was one of the prototype armors that the Enclave was forced to use.

I liked the Fallout 2-NV versions of Enclave Armor. The FO3 version makes you look like Batman...or more accurately, like the Arkham Knight.

Those were my thoughts as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the Fallout 3 Enclave armor ends up being retconned as just that. The APA MK II is supposed to be superior to the T-51b after all.

Art is subjective of course, but I found Fallout 3's basic Enclave armor design mediocre to the point of being forgettable. It never really stuck out, or looked particularly unique... it felt like a design you could find in any sci-fi franchise. The Fallout 2 armor on the other hand was distinct, iconic, and perfectly represented who the Enclave were.

The Hellfire Armor looked like a bizarre attempt at making a retro futuristic version of the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine armor for the Fallout setting. I personally didn't like the final product at all, but then I'm not terribly fond of the Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine armor.

I just can't take a bunch of walking radroaches seriously. They do not strike fear in me. I just want to shoot them in their ugly helmets. With the Medicine Stick(more like the Ugly Stick). I'm all for originality in games, but some things deserve a nice change. The Enclave helmets in 3 reminds me of a feline predator/sharp eared canine, and I like cats/dogs over roaches.

The demonic insect aesthetic is actually what Bethesda was going for with their Fallout 3 redesign - see the Fallout 3 art book. The Fallout 2 helmet, to me, always just looked like a stylized metal gas mask and not like any particular creature.

Gonna have to say the FO3's Advanced Power Armor leaves a lot to be desired, in terms of appearance and performance. the west coast APA and it's large hunched collar like apparatus and it's Predator style helmet made the Enclave look very terrifying, and felt like it was the "dark twin" of the iconic T-51 armor. the east coast's APA had none of the feel. it felt generic and a bit flimsy. and all around forgettable. even the slavaged NCR T-45's left a bigger impression on me.

although i would not mind seeing it in FO4, maybe that the FO3 APA would be found in larger quantities in the east coast, where this game would take place. (and can be used as spare parts for the X-01 anyway)

Now the Hellfire armor, i never really liked since it's "hog" helmet looked really ugly. though the body does look pretty sturdy and suited for dealing with high temperatures. but it looks low tech for Enclave standards.

I do however would like to see the Hellfire return as long as it offers bonuses to fire attacks and resistance. but the helmet should be redesigned. there was the "colossus" mod that gave the Hellfire a T-51 style slit visor and it looked far better.

Want to see bad ass Power Armor? Here you go. Midwestern BoS Power Armor.

The Enclave Power Armor designs in Fallout 3, may be explainable by the possibility of the Enclave trading technology with the Midwestern BoS. According to ED-E in Fallout: New Vegas' "Lonesome Road" DLC, the Enclave have an outpost in Chicago, which is where the Midwestern BoS is based.
