With how graphical mods and countless other aesthetic mods made Oblivion an entirely new game all together. One can only imagine now that after mention that they're releasing the mod kit on the PC version, this game is going to be better than real life once the modders get their hands on it. Although amazingly awesome, I'm not into the type of mods that allowed combat on horseback, wings, flight, riding dragons, Midas spell packs etc. Which is why I'm sticking to aesthetic modifications.

Meh. I think upgraded Morrowind looks better than upgraded Oblivion, and the same will probably be true with Skyrim. The character models are great, but everything has that Cartoony sheen which places them between Fable and something more realistic like The Witcher.

True but I'm just going on textures, shading and lighting mods alone. Character models (although svck in Oblivion) won't be on my list for Skyrim seeing as they're quite frankly put, amazing.

skyrim will look glorious for pc users who have powerful comps and the right mods

It's really quite beautiful. I can't wait to see what the modders do with Skyrim.

Where are those mods that did loads of graphical things besides textures etc, they were like 3rd part utilities or something, i can't remeber the name but they were pretty epic.

I think I need to get some of those OB mods. Looks great.

Qarls texture pack was great when it came out, but there is a new texture artist that did textures for Fallout New Vegas, and Fallout 3 his name is NMC. If he does Skyrim our eyes will melt.

There was countless mods that did stuff like that. The fun ones were new armors, riding dragons (including having your dragon fight mobs for you), exploring new areas that players made. They even had Goblins as a new race with their own starting area, background, story etc.

As [censored] as it was, and although I never used it, I found Tyrael wings (from Diablo 2) a beautiful addition to the flight mod.
