Since Bethesda seem to have made a deal with MS and XBOX, do you think the trend will continue? I really HATE this situation with DeadMoney, it svcks not being able to play it. I personally hope MS's endless piles of money don't sway Bethesda to release more exclusive DLC for TES5....


Sadly..Based on trends there likely WILL be exclusive XBOX360 DLC.

More than likely yes. While I do have an XBox and it would benefit me, I hate with a passion exclusives. Everyone should be able to play everything at the same time, when it comes to DLC.

M$ rarely miss a chance to make some extra cash; I'm pretty sure it will happen.

I don't think anyone outside of CEO's would want this to happen, not even the programmers and designers. Which means it will probably happen

I'm a x-box 360 player and I really hope it does not happen. One of my best friends (who is also a huge TES fan) has a Ps3 and I would hate for him to have to wait.

But in all reality I think it will happen. I just want people to keep in mind that it is not decided by Bethesda GAME studios whether it's timed exclusive or not. That would be Bethesda SOFTWORKS. Different companies.

Well I"m not sure about exclusive. They are pretty fair all around.

I am hoping there isnt any DLC for it for a long while because it would defeat the purpose of the game, a game is meant to be complete not having DLC to help add bits that they could of already put in the game. If its an expansion down the road then yes, but if its minor things, for me they should already be in the game.

Do you mean temporarily exclusive? I mean, will you have to wait an extra week or two to get it, or will it never become available to PC/PS3 users.

Well if you look at it from a certain point of view, we Xbox users pay monthly for XBL, so it should have some perks and advantages ( considering as far as hardware/software goes PC and PS3 have us bet by a mile ), but at the same time, waiting simply isn't fun :sadvaultboy: .

Don't get it on either. Get it on PC. It's a MUCH better experience.

Provided it's a timed exclusive, I really do not care. I have thousands of hours on Oblivion and the majority of that is without any DLC additions. Provided Skyrim is deep enough to give me at least a thousand hours worth of gameplay before it becoming stale, I am not bothered about timed exclusive DLC - though I would much prefer to have open DLC.

I suspect XBOX will get the DLC first then PS3 later. I don't like it but I'm not gonna buy an XBOX so I'll just have to wait. Blast.

I hate to throw this out there, because its likely to cause a flame riot, however thats not a lot of our problems... I have PC, and XBox360, and I'm probably going to go get a PS3. PS3 is a better console, but they don't get the game contracts because Microsoft is the primary contractor for both PC's and Consoles, and as a consequence the 360 gets the majority of the good first releases.

Now before that post starts a fight about which console has better games, I love a lot of PS3 exclusive releases, but on average XBox360 games ratings score 1.1 points higher out of a scale of 10, and the 360 DEFINITELY has a larger library as well. Sure a lot of it gets ported over to the PS3 later, but this is a good marketing decision, and I for one would be extraordinarily disappointed with Bethesda if they folded to yet ANOTHER console and put more development time, and concern into meeting the needs of a larger population instead of just sticking to their guns and creating good content for a slightly smaller audience. Frankly, I'd be fine if they started only making content for PC, or only for Xbox. After all if they made ALL of their content exclusive, they'd have more time. money, and developers to work on creating more content, or just working on their next game in general.

On the same note just to disprove my bias, I personally wouldn't be mad at them if they made the switch to the PS3 and made it an exclusive release for the PS3 because they could make it a better game and release a lot more content on that system, and do it faster. If that was the case I would applaud their balls to worry more about the game quality then they worried about the gripes of people with their pet systems. Of course that's not going to happen anyways, so whatever.

As long as it's only temporarily exclusive, and we get our dlc at all, I'll be happy.

Like always It'll come out for PC and 360 first, and the PS3 will get it 6-12 months later. Just my guess.

if the ps3 doesnt get all of the same DLC as the 360 and PC... i probably wont even buy this game...

yes, im THAT pissed at them for being swayed so easily with oblivion... i refuse to even buy oblivion for my ps3 despite me having loved the game more than anything.

In any case, yes, I'm pretty sure the 360 (and perhaps the PC) will be getting exclusive downloadable content, at least for a while. Ever since Microsoft lost a lot of their exclusives, they've been focusing on securing exclusive DLC to attract sales.

Just received my Oblivion game of the year (ps3) today

I Won′t buy the Fallout new vegas DLC anymore since they haven′t said that we will get the dlc or not, i am even starting to consider Activision a angel for atleast telling the pc and ps3 community that they will receive the dlc 1 month later for 3 years.
But yeah Bethesda is in ms pockets, wanna fight about it ?

I think 360/PC will get the DLC first. Then it will come out on the PS3 later. But eventually everyone will be able to access the same DLC, regardless of what console you play on. I do hope Bethesda implements some sort of exclusive preorder DLC, like an awesome weapon or set of armor you can only get from preordering the game at Gamestop. I'd also like to see some exclusive DLC content only available via the collector's edition.

I'm hoping for no DLC at all and only expansion, but that's not gonna happen. Likewise I'm hoping for nothing to do exclusive, but that's prolly not gonna happen either.
