Do you think Skyrim will be the best TES game?

Provided that Bethesda doesn't screw things up, Skyrim will very likely become the "best-selling PC RPG of all time".

I doubt I willbe as amazed as I was by Morrowind, so yea I still think MW will be my fav, seeing as it has more old school RPG elements... I am however strongly expecting Skyrim to beat OB bigtime

Potential? of course.

I don't see how any game that isn't realised couldn't have the potential to be the best game.

I'm a visual [censored], so that's going to be a big thing for me. If the gameplay was as good as MW/OB and the annoying factors have been taken out, then I believe it could be phenomenal

Morrowind was incredible, but Skyrim will be the best yet.

Which do you think will remain the best?

Not sure how we can even answer that objectively.

I'd vote "It remains to be seen".

Hmmk I think it's too soon to be judging the quality of Skyrim and comparing it to previous entries in the series, but so far Morrowind is king.

I drew my conclusion from what I've not only seen but also have read about Skyrim. Morrowind is still the best by far, but in the end, when we play Skyrim, I think we'll all drop to our knees and say, "Bethesda, we shall sacrifice our first-born children to you for making Skyrim!"

Perhaps a bit exaggerating, but still, you get my point.

Skyrim does have potential. I have no doubt that it's going to blow Oblivion out of the water but I can't say for sure just yet when it comes to Morrowind. Sure, there are many things that are already better, but also many things that seem to be lacking, if I am to judge from Oblivion, which I found to be a disappointment unmodded. The things I fear for the most are actually the smallest of things, not the obvious changes. The way games are played have changed and that's that, but the kick in the nuts from Oblivion for me was the smaller things, like the Dunmer Male Voices. The crispy voices added alot of character to the race, as the way they've been throughout the entire series, then suddenly they're just a bunch of prettyboys(very ugly ones actually) in Oblivion. Same goes for the beast-races legs, but not as much of a concern I guess. I just didn't like the idea that the beast races looked like any other race with whiskers or scales slapped onto them. The legs actually made them feel unique in my opinion.

I liked the thing with Left and Right-pieces of armor, gloves and pauldrons, but I could probably do without. It would still add to the customization however, but all in all, I don't think I'd use uneven parts anyhow. I just liked the option.
The Dunmer-male-voice is what bothers me the most. I hope it's similar to what it's been in previous Elder Scrolls, and not what it was like in Oblivion. Even the early Oblivion preview had the good voice!

I'd like to say that nothing can compare with Morrowind, but from what info have been released, the scale is sure tipping toward Skyrim.

The fully voiced dialogs, would still be a problem, and the world would not look as unique, and styled, as Morrowind, and the sense of culture and unique feel of the world and the inhabitants would have a hard time to catch up, but the other game sub-systems are definitely catching up, and compensate for those parts, so I'd say, it seems that Skyrim will be the best yet, but we have to wait and actually see that.

It's hard to say, because although each game follows a similar formula, the setting, people, culture, graphics, and gameplay in each game are quite different from the rest. So each game is really great in its own unique way. Example: So far, Oblivion has the best gameplay by far (in my opinion), but Morrowind has a much cooler style and culture to it. Which is better? It just depends what your into.

Oblivion was my first TES installment, so obviously my favorite. I've tried to play MW now after having played OB and it just hasn't aged very well, I've never gotten more than an hour or so into the game before going back to OB.

Skyrim looks like it is going to be even better. Can't wait.

Skyrim is looking Morrowind 2.0 to me. :) It will be better so it will be the best.

Open cities are better than closed cities. I was in the wrong impression, apparently. I changed my vote. :cryvaultboy:

No, it can only be better if it improves on all aspects.

Better shows opinion, this is my opinion.

All I know is, it will be better than Oblivion. It has the potential to be the best because it has yet to be released, but only time will tell.

Skyrim will be the best game ever, BUT nothing compares to Morrowind! Morrowind was my first TES experience and (probably) no game will ever recreate that sense of awe and wonder. You always remember your first...Elder Scrolls game. :tes:

I'll need to play the game before judging. As long as conversations and storytelling are better than the last three games, it's a shoe in for best. I'm definitely impressed with their faithful representation of existing lore. They haven't stopped the retconns since Redguard re-imagined Tamriel.

Do you mean the last four games? I think Skyrim will be the greatest game of all time, so yes, it will be the best TES.

No, I mean last three (Morrowind to Fallout 3). When I can judge how good Redguard is for myself, I'll let you know what I think about it.

I haven't played Skyrim yet so I can't judge it on it's merits and faults and compare it to the other games. From what I've read about Skyrim though Morrowind still has more originality and pc freedom.

I'm a huge Morrowind fan, so of course I chose that nothing could compare with it.... But I think that Skyrim has a good chance of being right up there with Morrowind on my 'Favourite Elder Scrolls' list.
