Do you think the DLC's should be re-enterable?

I'm on the fence about it really, I never ever revisited the Pitt and only went back to point lookout to stock up on double barrel shotguns and lever actions for repairs and maybe kill a few respawning hillbillies.

I would like more effort taken into making them more worthwhile to explore, maybe put some of the new weapons in curious/hard to get to places instead of going of just outright handing them to the player. Add more unmarked questions that take a bit of sleuthing to uncover and figure out.

So I'll say depends on the dlc, I enjoyed me some Point Lookout but I'd be lying if I said I returned all that often.

I generally like the idea of being able to re-visit a DLC. The ammo press in the Pitt, the occasional goodie from Zeta were very appreciated. I wish I could get back to the villa in Sierra Madre - there was tons of stuff ( duct tape, wrenches. and turpentine etc.) I had to leave behind because of weight concerns

When I buy DLC I would like to think I'm buying more than just a quest. Granted most quest based DLC is longer than the average quest. But I would like to buy an actual add-on to the game. When I bought expansion packs for games on PC, I bought something that expanded on the original game and added a new area with new characters, items, etc. Dead Money had some things that I would like to have taken with me. But you can't go back so that kinda kills that. Dead Money was fun but there just wasn't much of a reward for finishing it. I think being able to go back and loot would have been reward....for me anyway.

You brought up something that I feel should also be considered with dlc.

Designing areas that you want to explore after you've left. Point Lookout as you said was fun, but I had also noticed I didn't return much after I felt I taken what I could have. I would go back to sell stuff, buy weapons that were unique to it. But I got all the exploring done rather quickly. And there wasn't much loot to be had. I wouldn't mind paying more for big expansions. At least I'll feel I got my money's worth.

I'd much rather see some open world DLC's, not that Dead Money wasn't good.

I want to be able to go back and farm weapons and such, one of my favorite things about Point Lookout in FO3 was that many of the items within weren't finite excluding unique versions of the new weapons of course. I just like being able to return and kill the local creatures/people and search for all the stuff I might have missed or acquire another generic pistol from a shop if I lose mine or just want to display one. While I think that Dead Money added some really useful things to the post DLC game I just wish I'd been able to go back and kill the ghost people and get the stuff they drop again or check for stuff I missed the first time through.

Btw, after dealing with Elijah in Dead Money and leaving the vault, you lose your slave collar, right? Does that mean you're free to explore and collect holotapes/skill books at leisure? I'm thinking of doing another Dead Money run and collecting the things I missed previously, but I don't want to do all that with the stupid collar on.

Yep, you can go anywhere except the vault. Although on my last playthrough I did all my exploring before entering the casino. Without Dean I'd be too lonely in the Villa.

Thanks, I'll get a new Dead Money run going ASAP.
