No, no, please god NO.

They've suffered three massive defeats- if the Enclave returns, the Western BoS might as well too, since both are basically in the same boat regarding future viability.

They is hurt, demoralized, discluded, secluded, xenophobic, cut off, and not at all pleasant to look at.

1. Destruction of the Oil Rig

2. Destruction of Raven Rock

3. Destruction of the MFB at Adam's AFB.

We can all-but-count the last one as canon- most games have the "good" ending as the default ending if they have to build on it. The Legacy of Kain and TES are the only ones off the top of my head that I can think of that do not follow the "good" path as the canonical path. And TES simply doesn't say what choice was the canonical choice, pulling stunts like the Dragon Break instead. (The Dragon Break is basically something that say "every ending is and is not canonical at the same time.")

Between those three losses, I doubt the Enclave has much personell to be anything more than a Raider-esque faction in future games.

Seeing how they are the remenats of the old U.S government wouldn't they be in a lot of Locations throughout the U.S like in the South or Texas or maybe they are behind the Commonwealth? Ever think about that.

They are dead according to the games we've played, but I'm sure they are everywhere, they seem to be popping up all over the place.

The mojority of them were at the oil rig, and the army in FO3 was half robots and half reeducated gary clones.

This is true. To a degree.

Are they gone completely?

I would doubt it. We know actually know so very little about the Enclave and their operations that there could be a variety of places that they could still be hold up in. Given that they have inhabited Raven Rock (part of COG plans) I would also assume that they would have taken control of other COG U.S. bunkers such as Mount Weather or the unknown bunker of the United States Congress which is somewhere (was going to be the Greenbriar), and possibly even Offut Air force base (command center of USSTRATCOMM). So there are still many places where they could exist and logically would have retreated to given their defeats or even could have had a presence at from the beginning.

Are they weakend?

Yep. They've suffered some major defeats and their military strength is severely limited at this point. If they know what they're doing (and usually the Enclave do) they will retreat to yet undiscovered bunkers and hold up while they lick their wounds (which could take a very long time).

Should they appear in another fallout game? As more than just Remnants (like the ones in New Vegas)?

I wouldn't necessarily mind it, provided it made sense (the Chicago Outposts could be a good example). However if they appear in any near-future Fallout games as more than just nostalgic old men/women, they would need to be shown properly as weakend and should not just be "the bad guyzz" for us to kill (im getting tired of being forced to kill members of my favorite faction in order to "play the game right", goes for both Fallout 2 and 3).

The Enclave are an interesting faction (prehaps even the most interesting faction in Fallout, given that they are the shadow government of the United States) and I would hate to never see them again as more than the form of the "remnants" of new vegas. I just think it would be a waste to condemn such a wonderful faction to the abyss.

I would like to vote no because they have died 3 times now. I can't vote no because I can't trust Bethesda just yet.

To uselessly fling an enemy at the player is stupid. Why waste an opportunity to introduce new and interesting factions? To bring back the Super Mutants, Enclave, and Brotherhood back in Fallout 3 was stupid.

Horrigan was a Mutant too

More, Enclave is really illogic at this point

I preffer new factions or more protagonism to other factions

I'm guessing they came back in Fallout 3 as a way of introducing the concepts of the original games to a new generation of gamers, most of whom didn't know squat about Fallout. Was that a good idea? I hear that opinions vary.

I totally, totally agree with you about bringing on the new factions. I'd be very pleased if the next game is entirely free of the groups you mentioned. I'd add the monsters, too. Let's see something new. I wouldn't mind revisiting the West of Fallout, Fallout 2 and New Vegas sometime in the future, but for now let's see something we haven't seen before.

They shouldn't, but they will.

Take note that the Remants are NOT the Enclave. They're just old coots who kept their cool stuff.
