Do you think they will fix the problems?

Post » Fri Jan 30, 2009 9:47 am

So what do you guys think? Im kind of tied between the two. give me a day to give my own answer. but im anxious to hear what people really think. I hope they fix it, but im not entirely sure it will be, considering there isnt much of a scrap of info from anyone of authority within c-tek. *sigh* lol

i totally agree. if the problems arent fixed it will be a major fail where success could have been achieved. Thats all this game needs. a few tweaks here and there and it would be pretty epic online. would be pretty stupid not to make that a priority. and to montasura, are you serious? lol i mean if you havent experienced anything yourself.... well.. i dunno what to say lol it would be apparent your standards for the game are a little laxed. but just browse this forum. every other post is someone complaining about an issue. most are the same set of issues.

No.. It's been like what? 4 days since the release of the game and they haven't said a thing..
They said they would fix the PS3 demo issues and then a day or so later took it down.

Seems like a lot of promises and no action.

ha! you guys are funny! you think this game has issues? C2 plays like an absolute dream compared to the first week of any online fps that's been released. try that homefront debacle and killzone 3 still has issues.

the only issue i have encountered is the glitch when you first get to power up your nanosuit and i am unable to continue in the campaign. if i cared about sp more i might be upset but generally the sp is just a way to get the hang of the controls for me. i have not had a single issue with mp. i'm not sure if i will ever even finsh the sp, but i will definitely reach level 50 and boost the suit the five times.

contrast the first week of C2 with the first week of blops, for instance.

I don't think Montasura was saying that he hasn't found any glitches. I think he was just asking which glitches in particular you are talking about.

I think they will fix the MP problems but not the SP ones. They are under the impression now that MP is all the matters to people now and SP is for a small minority, hence the MP demo but no SP demo.

i dont know how people dont see these glitches. they are widespread and consistent. i think its just a matter of people not noticing it. taking it for granted that they are intended. like the sound issue. how can you not notice that the gun sounds are off? playing any other FPS you can clearly distinguish that you are being shot at and from which direction. this is just an issue with the sound files themselves im assuming. perhaps the game isnt recognizing the file set in place for close range weapon audio. i dunno. but thats a major flaw that really needs to be fixed in order to keep the game competitively recognized.

Yes i dont think the SP glitches (save for ones keeping ppl from progressing through the game) will be fixed. because no, sp has no real replay value unless you are trophy hunting, in which case, every game has replay value lol but yeah i guess perhaps it IS fairly early for us to be making assumptions... i think its more that nobody has even acknowledged our situation on this forum and given us any idea whats going on that makes at least myself worry a bit about whats going to happen. I just really want it to get fixed. and the way things go sometimes, the developers dont always do whats needed for their communities. its sad. and would be utterly tragic for this game.

I disagree. SP does can have replay value if it's good. It's like a good movie that you watch from time to time, except it's interactive.

I miss the days of games with good SP. But it seems like those days are going away and I am going to have to find something else to occupy that portion of my free time.

well SP FPS games are hard to find with good raw material. Most are just designed to be good MP shooters. Games like half-life 2 were designed with no multiplayer to give more focus to the game itself. which they did very successfully. but now days people realize that even with a good long story, its still only at max maybe 20 hours of entertainment. You may go back in a few months and replay it, but you may not. Online can give you hours and hours and hours for weeks, months, and even years without getting truly bored (assuming the games online is worth a damn). Take a look at halo. most people i know that play that game never even finished the campaign.

X2, I really enjoyed homefront when it first came out but then all the problems and I still can't get into any multiplayer games. Though I have no gone back to it since C2 came out.
