The harder it got the better I did.

1. 60% (I don't know imperial history very well, but I did remember what signified the beginnings and ends of the eras)

2. 80% (Had no idea on thrir and the desert)

3. 100% - Easy one for me. I was surprised how many people missed the Dagon sphere question...

Lets see how well your knowledge of the obscure is.

3/5... I count myself as an average (perhaps a little less) lore-knower. I know the basics.

its hard enough to come up with 10, and i don't think anyone would sit through a 100 question test willingly :P

the obscure crashed on me halfway through, but i had no idea on the first two, so i don't think i would have done very well. that sort of minutia has never been a strong point.

gona make a couple more quizes tomorrow, stay tuned :) probably going to cover the provinces or some major historical events.

got an 80%; missed only the question about the Orrery plugin (I played Oblivion on PS3 :'(

I consider myself average as well. I know a lot of the MK metaphysical stuff and the Akaviri stuff, but the location of Orcrest took me a full to minutes of pondering to answer correctly.

I got 80 score... 1 or 2 fails. That was pretty good IMO... I loved Decumus Scotti′s adventures so perhaps that is why I remember so much?

A quiz about the Septims! I made it myself! I hope it will be hard enough.

5/10. an error:

Spoiler
2) since when did Uriel 8 have 5 sons? two legitimates + martin, iirc.

[edit] recounted emperors for 6, i think it has an error too:

Spoiler
as far as i can tell, there were 20 emperors (not counting katariah, who was not a septim). if you discount uriel III, who was never really appointed, and Uriel IV, who was not related by blood or mariage to the septims, that leaves 18 (my original answer). either way, i don't think its 22.

the other 3 i concede :P

Spoiler

7) tiber ruled for 38 years, uriel for 21.

the other 3 i concede :P

Spoiler
I thought it was 3 legitimate kids, and Martin. Says so here about his legit kids
While the Emperor chose not to remarry following the Empress death more than fifty years ago, she left to him three healthy boys who have spent their advlt years learning the arts of politics from their masterful liege and father

6/8. I thought Uriel had three kids, all boys, and Martin. One of them was assassinated in the temple of the one and the other two were killed by the mythic dawn the day Oblivion starts.
Spoiler
So how is 4 not the answer?

Or maybe i just svck on that Lore

Spoiler
Tiber Septim starts the 3rd Era, a year after he united all Tamriel in 2E 896.
So he was Emperor of ALL tamriel starting 1 year before the third Era.
3E 38 Tiber Septim dies after a long reign and his heir, Pelagius I, takes the throne.
So he was emperor for 39 years. Uriel took the throne in 368, and died in 433. that is a reign of 65 years. If you take away the Imperial Simaraculum – years – you are left with a reign of 55 years. This still dwarfs the reign of Tiber.

Spoiler on the topic of Emperor's rein length.

i conceded that one just before you replied, as i was getting it from the brief history to the empire instead of doing the math. anyone want to check me on the number of emperors?

Three legitimates, Martin, and the guy who did that rebellion at the temple of the One. I can't think of his name and a cursory glance at TIL failed me.

Spoiler
Also, I object to #2 on that quiz. Technically, Martin was never crowned so he never became Emperor. He was Emperor to-be or however you want to say it and he was running the Empire, or as much as he could from Cloud Ruler and during the Crisis, but he wasn't crowned.

re: Valenwood 8/10, one stupid mistake and I'll admit I sorta guessed on the Five Year war one. I knew Elsewyr, but I thought that Valenwood conceded territory at its conclusion to Summerset... but know that I'm typing it I remember that that was Elsewyr.

lets use spoiler markers, k?

Spoiler
my problem with the question is mostly what you qualify as a septim. according to your list, its 23. that list however includes katariah, who was a septim by marriage only and who the quiz make apparently excluded. However, if you exclude her should you also exclude her bastard son? what about Uriel III, who claimed to be emperor but never actually ruled? excluding katariah but including Uriel III and Cassynder is iffy at best imo.

Spoiler
All those spoilers drive me nuts! Three legitimate sons, Martin and Calaxes (another illegitemate who was murdered even though some theories say that he survived). Let me count the rest:
Tiber Septim, 1.
Pelagius Septim, 2.
Kintyra Septim, 3.
Uriel I, 4.
Uriel II, 5.
Pelagius II, 6.
Antiochus Septim, 7.
Kintyra II, 8.
Uriel III, 9. This one got proclaimed "King of Tamriel" later so I count him as an Emperor.
Potema Septim, 10. She ruled for short short while...
Cephorus Septim, 11.
Magnus Septim, 12.
Pelagius III, 13.
Katariah does NOT count.
Cassynder Septim, 14.
Uriel IV, 15. (THIS ONE DOES NOT COUNT, YOU ARE CORRECT. I WILL CHANGE IT.)
Cephorus II, 16.
Uriel V, 17.
Uriel VI, 18.
Morihatha Septim, 19.
Pelagius IV, 20.
Uriel Septim VII, 21.
Martin Septim, 22. I count Martin as an emperor even though the coronation ceremony never was completely done. Ocato had actually already said the magic words:
"Martin Septim, on behalf of the Elder Council, I accept your claim to the Imperial Throne. We should arrange the coronation ceremony as soon as..."

Spoiler
