tcl once when I got shouted ragdoll style up behind an invisible wall in the Gauldur's questline

...and once when a broken Thieves Guild quest needed reset because someone never made it to our meeting place

See Child, Press ~, select child, type Disable, Ding! Problem Solved!

Sometimes, i move my follower to me. Really handy when she gets stuck on a rock halfway across the map...

I never spawn things for myself for actual ingame use, though. Sometimes i spawn food or potions to test them out and see if they can stack or whatever, but I always get rid of them immediately afterwards.

Seems like everyone gets stuck in rocks

I get stuck in walls. :D Dungeon walls tend to get you trapped behind an invisible wall. ...and this isn't from using TCL ether.

Mainly just to check my companion stats and use TCL when I get stuck by invisible walls, or enter areas that don't load properly. One thing I like doing when I get bored, is to use the "placeatme" coomand and summon non-friendly dremora lords in a town and watch them wreak havoc.

tfc and tm is as far as I go. Anything else just makes the game boring for me.

I honestly try to avoid it, because once I start using it I don't STOP using it. I normally just set the fov to 90 when starting a new character, and once I had to use the tcl command to bypass a bugged dungeon that kept crashing me to the desktop. Other then that, I've avoided the temptation to tinker.

I use the console but not to exploit, the game has plenty of exploits built in, such as certain invulnerable followers, but I do use it for TCL when stuck, fortunately this does not happen often, I also use it to set the timescale to 10, 30 just seems too fast to me.

I think I'll only use it to fast forward time. I CAN'T HANDLE HITTING "T" AND WAITING 24 HOURS 31 TIMES MAN! I CAN'T DO IT!

I already used a bunch of them

tm/tfc for good looking screenshots
enable/disable/removeallitems to "fix" some crappy things with followers
addperk/removeperk (one by one) to fix some unintentional mistakes (switching heavy to light armor and/or removing tier 1 perk points when i read about the crappy low armor cap)
sixchange to remove the bugged and stucked arrows and ice which do not disappear always
(???) to get the last 5 points in alchemy (thats just a joke, enchanting/smithing is way to easy way to reach 100 while alchemy takes ages)
disable to remove some unkillable stormcloack leaders at camps

So all in all it feels like bugfixing my own savegame ;)

I haven't in Skyrim - in FO3 I used it to get over particularly annoying invisible walls, assuming my character could climb over a piece of rebar. I also had to use it rescue npc's from the void they fell into. So, like was said, mainly to fix bugs

I use tcl when trapped in boulders or something. And, since I'm so awful at the stupid lock picking mini-game, I will occasionally feel compelled to give myself free lock picks when I run out. Oh, and when my good mace disappeared without a trace from my inventory right after the latest patch I replaced it. That's been about it.

Seems like I'm the only person that doesn't get stuck in objects. Today was the first time I ever used console commands, I think I'll tone it down from now on. Did anyone have a chance to watch my video? Any comments are appreciated

I have used it, made the best epic ending battle ever when I took the castle away from the enemy while me "pet" was burning them and about 30 folks on each side were fighting about.

When I realised just how wide open the console is it was bitter sweet, good for certain reasons then kind of bad for all the reasons of having such a simple way under your nose to do allot of anything you want right away.

So far I have only used console for saving, and the trick to up companion to you level and setting FOV, but that's it, I wont use it for anything else. So many other games with trainers, its like this console is one big one in a way. This type of game just seems to be be better to play out more naturally, only lean on features if really necessary. I even use the No fast travel mod, so you can imagine how I feel about it :)

Excuse the pun but its a double edged sword.

"I tried to use the consoles more in depth features, until I took an arrow in the knee".

I'm so glad I have no idea what half these commands listed even do, I haven't used it yet and refuse too. I've mastered almost half the skills without using half my perks, level 62, 30 unused perks and about 8 mastered skills. Its a much sweeter victory when you get there through honest work rather then cheating. I still haven't even seen a need to cheat, companions are more an annoyance then helpful, horses tend to bug out dragons and some other monsters as they target your horse instead of you. Gold? why? I haven't sold hardly anything i've looted and just dump it into chests in the college and I still have over 120,000 gold just from completing quests.

Once you use the console to edit your character, you can never say you beat the game honorable, you cheated, and it takes away all the glory and self satisfaction of having beaten the game within its own system of rules.

You sound mad because your not having fun since you follow the rules.

This game is about having fun. I hate having to wait so long for ebony ore to come back. Solution: Skip days :D

No i never use console commands for Bethesda rpgs. Only time i did use em was when playing Morrowind when i got stuck in a rock or crevice. In a free roam sandbox rpg like the Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3 theres too many ways to achieve victory without having to succumb to using console commands.

I've used TCL a few times to get out when I'm stuck, and I use the disable/enable trick to level up my companions.

And I had a bug with the quick reflexes perk where time would slow but then didn't speed back up for several minutes. Someone in a bandit camp could shoot an arrow at me and the entire camp would be dead by the time the arrow reached where I was standing when he fired it. I felt like The Flash. Anyway I used the console to remove that perk and give myself another shield perk.

TCL sometimes if a mountain is pissing me off.

I'll occasionally give myself a little gold if I just need a bit more to do whatever I want.

And when I was training smithing on one of my characters, I was very guilty of giving myself materials with the console. Not fun; don't do it.

TCL for a few times if I get stuck from some glitch or something. I use player.setav commands in case there's a bug where I cure a disease yet my stats stay low.

But the only thing that can be considered a "cheat" is when I use incpcs commands at the beginning of the game. Say: If I'm a Mage, I level up my schools of magic that I'll specialize in about 20 points for roleplaying purposes as I'm a grown advlt who has accidentally been caught. I feel like a child when I first start the game.
