climbing and grappling hooks could be very game breaking, flashbombs doesnt make sense for the era or theme of TES. smoke boms however would as would caltrops

as far as climbing goes i would want it to be like daggerfall. probably only for buildings to get to upper windows or roof tops. or on certain surfaces in dungeons to get access to secret rooms or possible shortcuts.

Grappling hooks are something that the game world would have to be explicitly designed for. I don't really care for it too much.

A wide variety of bombs would be very cool, especially when you consider that alchemy is now considered a stealth skill. The ability to concoct chemical mixtures to be used as bombs would buff out alchemy in a cool way.

Caltrops seem really minor and specific. I can't imagine them putting anything into the game that can't be expanded into a wide class of things. Bombs works because there can be many kinds of bombs, which would conceivably add enough to the game to justify their existence. Caltrops seems like a lot of work for something that can't really be extended in a meaningful way.

not sure what caltrops are, other than that nothing sugested sounds like any thing that would actually be added to the game. my reasoning for this in the case of grappling hooks and climbing is by example of ladders. it would be cool to have AC style (or simular and not necessarily as expansive) to climbing and such. but what for any ways, all that is on the roofs is roof top and supposedly every inch of mountains is accesable. it would be purely astetic.

but astetic things are nice, and I am all for having more things to do or that can be done.

Climbing. Something I personally did as certain assassin characters was make my own enchanted "disguises" so I could get closer to certain NPC types. Although this didnt really do anything in game. The ability to make poisoned food would be a plus and somthing that may be in the cooking feature.

Though the game is set in Skyrim. Mountains without any climbing or grappling hooks? Bad decision all around if they didn't include them.

First, I'm really looking forward to the love given to daggers this time around. The mass amount of stealth damage, takes me back to DF with the critical skill, backstab skill and sneak was the trifecta. If we can't look in windows, which I'm pretty sure we now know we can't, climbing to second stories loses some of it's luster. I'd still like to be able to do it, just don't know how beneficial it will be. Disguises is something I'd like to play with. Alchemy, especially creating bombs for get aways, distractions etc would make alchemy belonging to the stealth skillset, make a lot more sense. With light being so important, a way of distinguishing a flame, wtihout having to add it to your pack, would also be nice. If we can't see thru windows, perhaps we could get the spell/potion of detect life to be able to see from exteriors, into interiors. Obviously it works once you're in the house, but it would be far better to stand across teh street, in the shadows and be able to tell when your victim is going to bed.

i would love to see bombs in skyrims. it would be perfect for a stealthy getaway after i've been spotted and dont have the tools for a straight-up fight. climbing and a grappling hook would work to climb up those pesky mountains seeing as how skyrim is mostly mountains. i have no idea what caltrops are. :shrug:

I wanted noise to make a comeback in the Illusion school, since Illusion can go hand in hand with some assassin/thief/rogue builds that incorporate magic, technically making them Night-blade/Illusionist etc. BUT...I want it expanded, in that if its cast on an inanimate object, it alerts NPCs towards its vicinity. Oppose to its only role in Morrow/Dagger.

Well thats fit Skyrim well there is many mountains for cliffhangers and such feature can be used to increase variability in Rogue game experience by adding stealth entrances at windows to certain houses and cities.
Climbing can use fatigue reserves and zero fatigue actor will fall, climbing can be usable at certain surfaces only so devs can decide where can be climbable surface and where is not, enemy actors can also use climbing to establish ambushes for sniping or pursuit player who manage sit on top of rock and shoot into melee combatants without consequences.
No need make all surfaces and objects climbable just give us mechanic for example similar to good climbing in Shadow of Colossus and Gothic and Thief and by using such mechanic modder will expand it even to Assassin Creed free run or even spider man style climbing in balanced fully optional way of mods, just give initial base mechanic for climbing since it useful for gameplay in overall, so there will http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WQfMLt7TmLE

Actually such tool can be done but in chose between climbing and climbing + grappling hook and no climbing at all if devs will decide such feature "too hard" for implementation and spending time on it, better if there will be simple climbing as base at last, all other features can be done with mods.

Adding hand placing traps will make security skill more useful then it was in vanilla Oblivion, as well add more fun into game, modder add such features but mod mods not accessible at consoles, does console player does not deserve more fun then before? Devs by self say thats they have large auditory of console players so why not make more interesting gameplay for them?

Was also done before with mods, why not implement such feature in game and show thats AI become really good at this time, besides AI reacting on dropped items already confirmed so why not enhance it more?

Some throwing weapons can relay on Agility and Marksman so poison needles and darts, stars and daggers, can be usable by nimble characters, some on Strength and Marksman so powerful characters will not relay only on melee combat but also will have some options for short and middle distance like Throwing Axes, Javelins, Throwing Hammers, Stones for Giants
Traits and skills in two-handed and one-handed (dual wield) skills can be used if attributes was removed as well different weapons can burn different amount of Fatigue.

Throwing weapon isn't has the same purpose as bows have bows work middle-long distance need better targeting and usable for sniper and need time to be drawn, bows utilize both hands for work like two handed weapons
while Throwing weapon work on short-middle distance not need better targeting so there is no bow sway effect, usable for silent kills at short distance, take smaller time to draw, utilize dual wielding (we can throw two projective at one time) and even with some skills (perks) can give ability throw more weapons at one time thats anologue of dual wielding for marksman weapons.

No need different or special button for Throwing Grab Key can be used with Strike Button for current hand Simulationsly, hold it for some time and release will allow throw current equipped item forward, holding it more will allow thrown it furtherer, use just strike button will swing weapons as melee weapon, if throwing an clutter no need to show it in equipped in hand and quick tap of grab will drop item, while another quick tap will allow garb item again, no need hold button for dragging item around.

Black eggs and smoke bombs would be a cool addition, now that alchemy is a stealth skill it could be used for all kinds of thievish tricks and traps: blinding powders, throwing potions, paralysis darts etc.
