What if you want to be ridden by a Dragon.... :intergalactic:

Why this is not a poll option I will never know.

I want to be ridden by dragons.

Probably not going to happen but I would like for my character to be able to ride a dragon, if only for short distances.

I'm sure there will be a mod for that. :shakehead:

TODD HOWARD! LISTEN TO US! WE DO NOT WANT DRAGON MOUNTS THEY ARE THE ENEMY AND SHOULD REMAIN SO :swear: seriously todd that makes about as much sense as riding a knight of order a lame corprus or a dremora kynmarcher DO NOT INCLUDE DRAGON RIDING

It wouldn't be that big of a deal if it was in...

Wht do these threads keep popping up? Or is it just me?
Todd have confirmed that we wont be able to do it and I personally think it is a horrible idea. If you want to, wait for the mods. Before you start to bark about being a console gamer, Bethesda is trying to add the option of mods to console. Thank you.
Also see #2, I think Luke Skyrimmer is right.

no ! this is def 1 animation I do not want them wasting time and effort on, it is just silly and would be catering to the few over they many for sure ,... just a firm no, IMO, sorry to those of you who vote yes, but come on better stuff could be added while they play with that and still not make it work right, wasting time chasing dreams for a few, while time slips away and a new side quest gets laid by the side unfinished, would really peeve me off, if I found out about it.

Actually last time he spoke about it he made it sound like it might be being thought about thats why I dont want it it would be a waste of time management for my money when easier side quest stuff could be being implemented instead

The only reason -why- I would want to 'ride' a dragon is to kill it. And I know that that won't happen.... What I mean by that is imagine duel-wielding two swords. You jump onto the dragons back and stab one into it in order to hold on while you meanwhile commence stabbing it multiple times with the other sword. That would be interesting I think, but it won't happen.

That would be a very cool finishing move!

Internet hilarity aside, I don't exactly see the point. I can understand a game like Grand Theft Auto giving the player free reign of all kinds of neat game-breaking stuff later on as the character's abilities haven't really "developed" much by the end. But in a game like Skyrim, where there's still plenty of questlines to be done and dungeons to be explored after the fact, I wouldn't want some kind of silly cliche'd mount that lets my fly over all of the mountains that once lent some challenge and sense of foreboding to exploration.

Besides, the guards would be all over that poor fellow the moment we fly into view of the town.

I'm not a fan of helpful dragons. The shout for them to fight for us and a mount (as many have said) make them seem weaker. I would have preferred time spent on those things to be spent elsewhere. If I don't have to use either, then it doesn't bother me if they're in.

Like this? http://community.imaginefx.com/forums/storage/41/85532/Rabbit_ADragonsFriend.jpg
:)

No. It belongs in anime games and fairy tale games and stuff like that. Not in Skyrim. Very unfitting there, UNLESS Skyrim pulls it off perfectly.

Like this.

:chaos:

Yes, for all intents and purposes, it fits actually. Except the story itself puts dragons as number one enemy of player character forcefully which is a point of another discussion.

I hope Skyrim pulls it off perfectly too, if it's gonna be in.

Followed by Dragon mount armour a month later

no thx. it would seem cool, but for a medeival game i think horses/land creatures should be the most someone could ride. in WoW they added flying mounts and everything turned into easy-mode... you could fly to your quest destination, do it, fly back... i don't like that, this is a TRUE RPG and traveling is part of the fun!!! :D

Dragon riding IMO would be stupid being that the dragons are civilized in a way where they have a culture. I dont think they will just let us tame them, atleast not while they are alive. And a dragon as a mount would just make me feel too powerful and it wouldnt be fun. I wouldnt care as long as I dont HAVE to use it (ie main quest)

I'm indifferent on being able to ride them however I very much want to see at least a couple friendly or at least neutral dragons that aren't just typical "I'm a bad guy rawwr."
