Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:02 am

imo dragon mounts will not be a good addition to this game... it will be too ridiculous.

hmmm if dragons are in.. I suppose that would the de facto equivalent of having levitation.

what if you fly to the edge of the map? does the dragon hit an invisible wall?

flying around will diminish the epicness of the game world. I dont want to be a 30 second flight from anywhere in skyrim... It should be a 2 day jaunt in which I have to prepare food and arrows.

I guess it's a good thing Todd has already confirmed we won't be able to ride them then, isn't it? :meh:

Just don't download the inevitable ridable dragons mod, and you should be okay.

I don't wanna ride anything. Well yeah maybe the carriages, but thats beside the point

I want horses included but un-rideable. They were pointless in Oblivion in my opinion

Dragon riding makes plenty of sense. Remember that time Tamriel was renamed Pern and then renamed again to Alagaesia?

But no, dragon riding has only appeared once in the lore and that was at during Battlespire and that dragon was a friend of the rider, not the enemy. Plus Todd said there wouldn't be any so bwahahaha.

No. It belongs in anime games and fairy tale games and stuff like that. Not in Skyrim. Very unfitting there, UNLESS Skyrim pulls it off perfectly.

No, I sure don't. I want them to stay scary and be the big boss fight throughout the game. How about a flying Unicorn if someone wants a flying mount in the game. Would that be ok? :)

I personally say no.
Of course they are testing it out, they probably test out a lot of ridiculous ideas to see if they work, but does that mean that they will be included? Not likely, they are just now testing dragon mounts, I'm sure if they even wanted to add them to the game that they will not get them to where they want in time. I mean they are probably focusing most of their attention to the mounts that will most likely make the game such as horses, and if they are still trying to get horses right, dragon mounts would take even longer in my opinion.

No I don't want to 'ride' a dragon... those things are crazy and will get you killed... but if they were able to implerment a system were you could 'ride' them wth force and somehow constantly avoid its long throat reaching out towards you... then yes... (but that'd be impossible)...

Beowulf (the game) included dragon riding to my satisfaction... not something the thing liked... and not something you were likely to survive... and it tried to kill you...

The only reason -why- I would want to 'ride' a dragon is to kill it. And I know that that won't happen.... What I mean by that is imagine duel-wielding two swords. You jump onto the dragons back and stab one into it in order to hold on while you meanwhile commence stabbing it multiple times with the other sword. That would be interesting I think, but it won't happen.

Reminded of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adBmLtE4wwg&feature=related

I don't think 16sq miles is big enough for dragon flight.

I know dragons for AD&D there they are extremely wise and powerfull creatures , some of them like to polymorph (spelling dunno lol) in to humans to learn about us, there was good and evil dragons according to their scale colors, metallic was good and chromatic was evil in general.

In AD&D to fight a dragon was a veeery hard thing , lots of my friends died , they breath fire , they pick you up and let you fall from high distances , tail hit, claws plus their extreme intelligence , they was also cunning magic users, if Skyrim dragons are like that i doubt we can ride them
