Do you want Fallout 1 and 2 remade by Bethesda?

Do you want Fallout 1 and 2 to be remade by Bethesda in the way Fallout 3 and New Vegas or maybe you could download the original version from PSN or xbox live,or do you not want it remade or you dont care?

No, it would be a disaster and turn fallout into a horrible, horrible game.

Made by Bethesda in the same style has Fallout 3/NV? No, certainly not... the games weren't designed to be played in that type of format. You'd have to sacrifice much of the original games, and a bit of the Fallout 3/NV format in order to make FO3/NV-like remakes of Fallout 1/2 work, and by that point the developers would have been better off making entirely new games.

porm Star and Child Killer perks ring any bells? The super mutant arm wrestling match in Broken Hills? Hell, they still have not brought the Cats Paw back in either FO3 or New Vegas, and that was a staple of the originals that wasn't even offensive.

This, specially the one about we cant talk in the forums, that kind of things its gonna be cut to be "very ofensive"

I say if they remake it they should have the option to either choose turn based or FPS so people who played the orginals and liked it being turned based don't say, "They screwed up the orginals!" and people who have never played the originals and/or hate turn based games don't say, "Well that was some boring [censored]!"

And they must keep everything the same besides the graphics.

I don't want them to be remade by anyone. Remakes of FO1 and FO2 will look very different if they were made with the FO3/NV engine. Content would be changed so much (the six, killing of kids and so on). I bet they would even change the character building system as well as the lock picking system.

Has the OP even played the originals? I find most people that ask for remakes have not played to originals or tried and quit soon after starting.

Thumbsticks world work fine imo. Might need to add the ability to tweek the sensitivity.

Sure you can move the cursor around, but I don't think you can bring up the click and hold menu unless you can push the stick in. It might be pretty hard pinpointing things to pick up off the floor with it, unless the sensitivity is really fine. Heck trying to click on things in a pile of stuff about the same size (with a pixel difference to to determine what you pick up) is bad enough with a mouse, I'm sure it will be that much worse with a controller.

Now if you could just plug a usb/wireless mouse and keyboard into it I think that would be best. You could do that with a ps2, not sure about a ps3.

I wouldn't mind if they remade Fallouts 1 and 2 but I wouldn't want them completely openworlded like Fallout 3 or New Vegas. What I would do is have it like Fallouts 1 and 2 where you have an interactive map to travel and when you hit an area its in full openworld mode. Like for example you enter Klameth your now in full openworld mode like Fallout 3.

I think it still would be birdview, but now in 3D so you can rotate and zoom in/out, but still only settlements, special locations and random encounters would be playable, when you walk outside of the area you get to travel around on a world map over California again.

Not Bethesda. There is a mod coming out that is remaking the first game, and I honestly trust them more with the task than I do with Bethesda.

If it's done right yes I'd like it on console. By Bethesda? No. By obsidian? Sure.

No.
Too much would be lost in a remake. That being said I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

This would be the only way...an unofficial mod built by fans. Of course, I haven't much about this. I just hope they scale the map appropriately so that it takes longer to travel between locations (lots of nothing between towns). http://www.moddb.com/mods/fallout-2161

There's always this http://www.crymod.com/moddbmods.php?id=673 called http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,697467/Fallout-Rebirth-Mod-RPG-classic-with-Crysis-graphics/News/ but there doesn't seem to be much progress on it.

In the end, I wouldn't mind if someone just updated the interface somewhat on the originals, as it's quite clunky and hard to read the dialogue some years later. Add that to the hi-rez mod and you got a winner.

Do you know the Monkey Island Remakes? If they are made in this way, it will be okay. You could switch beween the original game and the remake by just pressing F10. And besides VO and cosmetics they are pretty the same game.

But i voted No, because I don't need another Fallout Brotherhood of Steel crap.

Not remade, but brought to consoles via. download as an "arcade game". Because that's the only way I'll ever get to play these games.

My computer is terrible. Very. Terrible. :brokencomputer:

A remake of Fallout 1 and 2? No.

A remake of Fallout 1 and 2 by Bethesda? Hell no. If anything, Fallout 3 is essentially a "remake" of Fallout 1 and 2 with all the copy/paste of plot and Fallout "elements".

yes I would like to see a remake in the spirit of Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

Fallout 1 and 2 where super buggy and uncomplete. Perks didnt work, they contained tons of gamebreaking glitches, and had lots of coded or partially coded content that never went live.

Wow, Fallout 2, sure, but Fallout 1 is better in development. and how incomplete? I can win those game even without the patches

if you have problem with this, i suggest you to download the Team X patches for Fallout 1, and Restoration Project for Fallout 2, who fix alot of bugs, glitches and add some new features such as cut content.

Then again back on topic, i totally refuse the idea of remaking the games, their are goods and Bethesda would tone down with just plain shooter and remove offensive content, if i want a REAL remake, they should be isometric, in 3d and turn based,

I don't have any problems with FO1 and FO2 and never had in the many years I have owned them (other then when I load them to a new computer and have to get the settings set right.) They are classic games and should be left alone.

Some people believe that Bethesda saved the franchise of bugs, glitchs, and boring TBG, but Bethesda was just the higher bidder in the auction, Troika Games could have been done a better game yet

If brought back in their entirety, with no cut content, I'd love a console download of the originals. No remakes, however.
