Do you want Fallout 4 to be T-rated?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 9:23 am

Nope. Any series rarely (if at all) manages to succeed after a change in demographics like that, especially if violence is part of the series. It's like saying "We need to make Warhammer 40,000 a PG series".

Anyone who is remotely familiar with Warhammer 40,000 would know that would likely be the death kneel of the series, as the process would gut a major component of the series. Same with Fallout. Fallout without six, death, and violence numbs the "humans are outright bastards" theme that's prevelant through the entire series.

"War. War never changes." Why is this the arc words of Fallout? Because people never change in that universe. Underneath all the trappings of civilization, humans are still that same violent, primal ape from the opening scene of 2001: A Space Odyssy. And changing the series to "T" would deaden that core theme.

Well, if they dropped Slannesh they could probably do it, as long as they didn't perform Exterminatus on too many planets. 40K doesn't address sixual matters much, the rating boards are more lenient with violence. Not that it would be desirable, mind you.

I'd rather it be AO so more content may be added to the base game to depict the rise of new cultures as well as core elements depicted better than compared to in an M game. Though even the notion of making this series T, burned game situation in that case, is idiotic. Buying a ticket to fly over & tour Auschwitz is more fun than playing a T rated Fallout. At least I can be humored at one.

Patchy the Gigalo ghoul.
And fisto the robot.

No... I quite like my Rated M Fallout. And honestly it won't matter if the rating was E. Parents just svck at judgment calls. Hince the number of 5 year olds playing Call of Duty.

Imagining all the sheer content and realism in language and the absurdity/realism in violence that could be added from this would just be fantastic including the ability to show a greater black humor.

I'm thinking of Set in Fallout 1 who IIRC his face had mutated so that his skin had grown over one of his eyes, essentially giving him an eye-skin-patch.

Perhaps his wooden leg would be a very charred leg who's foot is but a stump of its former self.

Maybe that's why he went with a pirate persona.

Considering we saw people exploding in the E3 demos I'm sure it will still be rated M.

You know, even if I did buy into the reasons for turning the Fallout series into a T rated series (which I don't), I would not be OK with turning Fallout 4 into a T rated game. They have spent 4 years designing and developing a M rated game, do you really think they could just snap their fingers and make it T rated?

TRhey did it with the German version of FO3 to get a lower rating (they cut gore from the game). Please... Don't do it again. Skyrim was uncencored let it be true fopr FO4 too.

We DON'T got a Ghoul Pirate... It's a redcoat not a pirate! When will people learn it?

Blame Germany not Bethesda, They've always censored Fallout games.

No offense, but this question is madness. We want extremes amount of six and violence. If there is content of a sixual nature, try to include some eye candy for women too.

No. Germany didn't censor games. Read about how it works. Germany CAN'T censor games. The companies/publishers censor the games on their own to get a lower rating. Sadly many people blame Germany for this... But they don't know how it works.
