Do you want a hardcoe Mode in Fallout 4?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:37 am

I hope they put hardcoe mode back in for this game. It made New Vegas a whole other game. Having to manage your inventory, sleep, hydration, and food intake made the world seem more believable. it made you make tough choices when it came to weapons and gear. I really hope they bring it back for Fallout 4.

I just hope they merge elements of it into the base game. You can motivate the player to eat/sleep/drink realistically in simpler, less annoying ways. Stuff like Stimpaks healing over time should happen regardless, and I'm indifferent either way to ammo having weight.

Yes. But somewhat different from New Vegas; more profound changes on gameplay, and hardcoe meaning not so much "survival" but more about the mechanical workings of the character the player builds.

I sure as Hell, hope they did. I can't imagine playing without it and don't really want to wait until someone authors a mod.

While I probably will never use it, it should be in the game.

Sure why not. We already have a couple of topics on this. At least this is a poll.

hardcoe Mode is a nice touch, and would hate to see it go. So much food...Be a shame for it to not have a use, y'know?

Plus...Honest Hearts added the ability to make coffee.

Coffee.

Yes.

No way they won't include it after the positive reaction from New Vegas. Plus, the basic mechanic is very easy to implement. Setting timers on dehydration, medicine, and rest is fairly simple.

I doubt I will use it, but it should be an option for those that want it. I personally don't want to work that hard to survive in a game. Challenge me yes, frustrate me no.

Hardcode mode should disable quest marker but i know that isnt something bethesda would ever do.

Not any more anyway. Morrowind was the last game they did that didn't have a quest marker. Loved that game *sigh*

Remember F4 is being made by different people than NV.

In addition to that, I had more fun with Morrowind's gameplay than any other Bethesda game ever since. Clunky as it was, it felt it was still an RPG.... :sadvaultboy:

No idea what's the point, I'd say they are catering to illiterate people but even the protagonist is voiced now

There is no reason to remove hardcoe mode as an optional feature, it doesn't harm or benefit the gameplay, unless you decide it should. It's already there and works perfectly fine, why take it out, especially when it was so well-received?

It is so incredibly easy to do, and it makes so many people so happy, that there is really no excuse for not having it.

Yes but don't make it tedious like Fallout New Vegas or include an item like the cantine that makes it no longer necessary to drink water.

I'd also like to see difficulty revamped instead of it being the usual 50% less Damage 200% more damage add in more effects like no Health Regen, AP regens slower, bullets have weight, etc.

I could go either way. I'm fine with having more options with how to play this game! XD

Yes i do, but hardcoe mod will be in Fallout 4 either way, if not in the original game it will be added via mods.
