do you want kids in Skyrim?

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 11:04 am

Isnt it wierd that Tamerial has no children.do you think that children would be a nice edition to the atmosphere, and gameplay elements?(having kids in Skyrim could bring some interesting quests.)or would it ruin the classic TES feeling.

There was a reason for no children but now that FO3 and FNV had them we might see them in Skyrim.

I could live with them or without them. I don't think they'll ruin anything so sure, why not have them?

I cant see why not. Makes for a more believable story. I bet we are gonna have to rescue a child or two

You can come up with 5000 reasons why children shouldn't be in Skyrim. It's too late to change that. Children are in the game.

I think so.

And these threads always go into child killing discussion, which is restricted. So I predict this will be locked soon.

I'm pretty sure it was more than the nvde mods that made it get an M rating.

Nope it was that if I remeber correctly. It came out as T then people mad nvde mods and bam. There is no real reson in the vanilla game to make it M.

Sure I think it'll be quite interesting to see how they pull it off. If we see any at all will we see elven children or only nord children?

i dont want to have my character be able to have a kid personally. but seeing kid NPC's in the game would be a great installment. i kinda want to see if Bethesda would do something like put a Nord child on the front lines in a big war or have him be apart of the main story. not like an 8 year old but maybe 14 or 15. it would give more depth to the story and i would take kids more seriously in game because in Fallout i kinda made fun of them every chance i got. and id tell them to follow me and then leave them stranded in a tunnel or out in the Wasteland hahahaa. i know im going to hell....

gonna ask emma to make all the children demi gods in skyrim.

So long as they effectively add to the ambience of the Location they Inhabity sureness Emmas COM mod was essential to me, across the populace children just skipping about breathing life into the Region. criers, assistants, another form of NPC to feel heroic towards when I save their arses from a Dragon assault....yeah

Peoplemod tons of naked crap which is why Oblivon got an M rateing.

No, it's not why it got an M rating at all, Morrowind has nvde mods as well, but retains its T rating, as do many other games, I'm sure. According to ESRB, they changed the rating because, upon further inspection, they realized that the game had more blood and gore in it than the originally believed, supposedly, a decision they conveniently made after a hidden topless female model was found on the game disk, which could be activated only through using mods. Supposedly, the explanation for this is that said incident prompted ESRB to reconsider the rating of the game and evaluate it again, which led to decision to change its rating, whether you believe ESRB's explanation or that it's the nvde model is up to you. But either way, that the presence of a nvde model was even worth considering reevaluating the games content at all is obviously because the model was on the game's disk, had it been a custom made model like the body mods with nvde options that came later, or similar mods for Morrowind, it would never have effected the rating, much like Morrowind, and many other games I'm sure one could name.

Now that we've gotten that over with, we already know children will be in Skyrim. I wouldn't have minded if they weren't in Skyrim myself, but Bethesda decided to add them, so I can live with that, it's not something I feel too strongly about either way, so long as Bethesda can ensure that their presence doesn't become annoying or make the game feel more childish, which really comes down to how the children are handled and how often we need to interact with them.

Kids or no kids, it doesn't matter. But it is kinda strange how Oblivion had no children. Like Nirn is where you go after you get kicked out of Little Lamplight.

I didn't even vote since children were confirmed to be in Skyrim. Not to mention I don't see why there shouldn't be kids in the game.

CHILDREN ARE ALREADY CONFIRMED!

children are going to be in the game... whether we want them or not.

seriously, people... do some research before asking things that have been confirmed almost since the game was announced.

I agree with the ESRB on Oblivion. It had nothing to do with mods. The game is simply far more gory than it appears to be at first glance. There are detailed mutilated bodies in parts of the game.

I think we already have a discussion about children in Skyrim, and I started to delete posts that started in about child killing etc.,, so it's probably for the best that we lock this now.
