Do you want to know any more of the story?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 4:38 pm

Okay, it's very simple. Do you want Bethesda too release more of the story? I know I don't, but I think it could be interesting to hear the opinions of the forum. What do you think?

Nope. I have enough info to get me started, and the rest of the story should best be enjoyed as the game is played.

Please no! I don't want it spoiled for me, this is the reason why i can't go to the Mass effect fourms, or the Dragon age fourms- too many spoilers. I had Me2 spoiled for me within the final weeks, and ME3 was spoiled for me then some jerk posted a trailer of it and called it somthing else..

I want to know more about the gameplay mechanics and what variety I will have when playing the game. I'd rather not have the story spoiled for me. It would ruin much motivation to follow through, and explore and discover for your own sense of wonder.

No story, just general gameplay involving NPC's, combat, spells, etc.

Nothing more from the story - I know enough to whet my appetite without spoiling it. :) Although info on factions would be good - just their titles or how many there are, and leave us to our speculating.

Definitly dont want to hear anything more about the story but would'nt mind seeing some game play just to see the new UI and combat in action.

i've played countless hours of oblivion and i have no idea what the main story is about,
closing all the gates? because they're bad, right?
i did get up to the point where you're recruiting men from each city at one stage,
but i don't like being the chosen one or the child of the prophecy at all,
it's boring to me,
i voted don't care,
but i really hope the story in skyrim isn't any more in your face than it was in oblivion

Well...you're Dragonborn in Skyrim. In Oblivion, you were never the chosen one or the child of prophecy or anything like that. You were just some person. Yeah, Uriel Septim VII said he saw you in his dreams but that's it, and that never plays a relevant role in the story. In Skyrim, you actually are the chosen one because you're the last remaining Dragonborn. Looks like you're out of luck.

More OF the story? no

More ABOUT the story? yes.

For instance, might there be some doouble corssing, alternate paths, in-depth thinking involved, things that force me to think about my actions.

As opposed to :go take this, find somebody, kill more stuff, fetch me more items, and watch someone else be the climix.

Nope. I already know that I am the Dovakhiin, which is fine I guess. But I don't want to know any more about the main story.

Spoilers don't bother me so I don't really care. But I would much rather see more gameplay information than story related.

Seems like most people here share my thoughts. If anyone at bethesda read this please don't release any more of the story.

I just want to know tiny little details, but mostly, I want to see the UI of the game, and the cities, and the enemies, not really the story. I really want to see the character creation process, and the inventory (whole menu mostly), map, but not really story details, but not all at once, I just want info week by week, until the game comes out, so I'll be prepared for it, gamesas weaning me out, giving me a fix, until I can git the big fix, Skyrim, that I'll be fixed on hopefully, for the next few years (with dlc and etc...) And damn am I excited for this game...
