Do you want a new parkour specific map

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 2:41 pm

Hello, I am new here, I have been watching BRINK ever since october last year.

I love the smart system, it is very smooth, very well executed but I feel like its not put to its full potential in the maps. I have clocked in about 40 minutes of just redoing the parkour this challenge becasue it is so damn fun.

The question... Do you want another parkour map (like the one in the parkour this challenge) where you can free roam, or possibly invite frineds to race each other/shoot and do more challenges.

So what do you guys think?

Both because you know what they say "The more the merrier" but no Brink lacks content and needs as much as it can get right after they patch the lag on the Xbox and PSN (assuming it has the same problems as the Xbox version online)

EDIT: Well since the OP changed the topic right after I put this one down I will have to edit it... so yes because Brink needs more content

I voted "not important but would be nice"

That pretty accurately sums up my feelings about the matter.

There's already a LOT you can do with the SMART system, and I'm loving it as a Light.

There is a bit of stuff you can do as light but not as much as I would have wished. Still, I guess they did it from a gameplay perspective, or we would have less heavies than we already do :3

i want a shooting range and obstacle course. i don't need them, but i wants them.

the shooting range should have light, medium, and heavy targets, with base health for the respecitve body types. it should be for practicing with your weapons, that way you don't hinge a mission on a new weapon that may not work out.

the obstacle course should of course be set up for all three body types. it should be for practicing SMART moves. after all, manual is better, but it takes practice.

Personally, I haven't gotten a chance to play the game yet (I'm still waiting on my pre-order to arrive), but because SMART is a big part of what makes this FPS so special, I would definitely like to see any and all opportunities for it to be put to use to be taken advantage of. Or in other words, yes, more parkour specific maps would be nice

I was talking about having two huge container ships side by side, mission objective is to take over the ships engine room, then hack into the commanders deck, escort mission to get into one of the escape boats saving some sort of important individual - best 5 out of 5 have successive success in these missions you unlock new gear and weapons

Would be very cool, I suggested that in some other topic, but I'd love that. Maybe make some part of the ark a freeroam map.
Where you can parkour around the place. (:

Yeah maps with more SMART possibilitiers would be really cool.

I would like to see a map where you have to jump over rooftops and such while engineers have to build little bridges from roof to roof so the heavys can push forward too while mediums and light's jump around doin other objectives.

Possibility is endless. :)

Yes to that but no to a parkour specific map. Actually I found the parkour challenge map quiet boring. Although I wished that SMART had more effect on the gameplay. There should be more possibilities to get over walls and obstacles because these maps are still too bottlenecked.

Yeah,It'd Be awesome to have More parkour Specific Maps,But,If we do get them,It'd have to be added To the Campaign, which would Mess up the WHOLE Story,So,we probably WONT be getting them...Sorry to break your Spirit.

Heres my welcoming.

even though this game isn't about camping, they should have an area where lights can only get to using S.M.A.R.T that has a view of the main area on the map and contains an engineer turret nest (easier for people to understand)
and maybe a command post nearby. NEARBY not at. Otherwise everybody would want to camp there.

That would be very awesome! maybe a parkour specific map where you can play solo free roam or invite some friends and screw around. Or even make a full on map using more parkour.

@Doomedamigo566 thanks man, another good example of how the BRINK gaming community is quite a nice one :)

I'd like a parkour-heavy regular map. That is all.
