After release, I had one character who hit maybe 40.... she had an extra couple of years on the calendar. I messed around with her a lot for a few months, trying out mods as they showed up. She leveled pretty slowly, but a lot of time went by....

a tribunal style DLC in the Imperial City could be very interesting actually, assuming they make the city feel larger than they did in Oblivion.. we could better see how the Empire has truly changed from the days of the Septim Dynasty, hear the views of Citizens and politicians on the Stormcloak rebellion, see just how badly the city was damaged in the Battle of the Red Ring, and a potential side questline based off of sabotaging Thalmor intelligence operatives would make quite a bit of sense in the Imperial city, and at the top floor of the palace we could find Goldbrand sealed in a chest in the emperors bedroom..
it could have some interesting variance in dungeons, including but not limited to the sewer system, connected caves, and the vast labyrinth of Ayleid ruins under the isle..
since i am sure not future DLC will happen, I will speak hypothetically here.. but, in such a DLC, it would be interesting if your experience in the Imperial City, along with what side quests were available were in part based off of the quest lines you did in Skyrim..
as some examples:
- say you were the Guild Master of the Skyrim thieves Guild.. perhaps, either you are contacted in Riften's Cistern or in the Imperial City itself by the Cyrodiil Thieves Guild, after hearing of your success in restoring the Guild, they challenge you to a contest, a race against time (possibly Against the current Grey Fox) to steal a lost Artifact rumored to be hidden within the city
- if you finished the Dark Brotherhood quests, perhaps the city is in a state of panic due to the loss of the Emperor, resulting in infighting within the Elder Council or even the Mede Dynasty itself about who to make the heir
- if you had sided with the Legion, you could receive a letter from Tullius if you tell him your headed there to take essentially saying "this individual, has played a crucial role in our gains in this sad conflict within the province of Skyrim. he has shown his allegiance to the Empire, and I humbly request to the current Commander of the Legion forces within the capital to provide this man with any aid during their stay that is within your power.. yours truly, General Tullius, commanding officer of Skyrims legion".. after which, you would gain access to some of the services within the military district..
- if you had sided with the Stormcloaks, you would instead be given a letter from Ulfric gaining access to a small hidden location in the city where Ulfric sympathizers gather (possibly lead by an ex-legion officer who fought alongside Ulfric in the great war)..
i know such a thing would never happen, but it would be interesting...
do we even know how Nirns seasons work? I mean, its not like it circles the sun (the suns a hole to Atherius). what would cause seasons to change? and what months would even be which seasons? maybe Last Seed would be late spring, as in last chance to seed your crops?
Sure I'd like it, who wouldn't, but do I think we'll get it? Its extremely unlikely though as the TESV team have been broken up and are working on other projects. Can't see them wanting to dust off the old spec sheets and start something anew honestly.
Only if I'm allowed to plaster a texture of Todd's face on my shield.
Now that's what I call a worthwhile expansion!
I'd rather place his picture on a fighters guild practice dummy. Add a MK dummy for a bonus.
I just want another TES game. They've said everything I care about this particular region (and a bit too much.. I think Dawnguard was kind of out of place).
Mods can/have picked up the rest.
If it's got this plot, then hell no.
Spears however, would be welcomed with open arms!
A lot of us want a expansion pack like this to be sold to defeat the Thalmor. Or side with them depending on the choices your Player Characters (PC's) make.
What about... mmmhhh... a dlc... that makes open cities/dungeons/houses (in the sense of no-fking-loading-screens)?
It would make even city live much more interesting, with dragons able to attack whatever place they want. More citizens, some with quests.
And what about seasons? Real storms? Holy festivities? More random events? New caster armor and weapons? With 64bit technology, it is now possible!
It was possible with 32-bit technology. We know this because these things have been added to the 32-bit PC version of Skyrim by modders I think two more probable reasons they were not in the game were: 1) they were cost/benefit or artistic design decisions unrelated to technology or 2) they were a consequence of console data storage limitations.
FYI: Dragons can already attack inside the walled towns in vanilla Skyrim.
What? I've never seen a dragon attacking Whiterun or Solitude, Winhelm, Riften! Never! I've never encountered them inside the city walls!
No me either in 500+ hours of play. I've only ever seen them in cities that are in the open world space, Riverwood, Winterhold etc. Never once inside a walled city. As for the other things they're all already available on 32 bit so that wasn't the limiting factor, More likely the 360, ps3 just didn't have the resources to cope with such a high memory demand so it never happened.
yes, Dragons can attack in walled Cities (only one i haven't seen them attack is Markarth), and having them land on buildings and such makes the battles all the more entertaining
if you really want to see it happen, fast travel between cities a bit.. since Dragon attacks are more likely to occure after fast travel it will increase your odds of one appearing on arrival in a city..
impossible as DLC, the entire game and most of its assets would have to be entirely rebuilt from the ground up.. the interior of most buildings is actually larger than the exterior so they would have to be remade (and NPCs repathed), pretty much every dungeon would have to be remade from scratch (once again, the interior of a dungeon on the side of a mountain is usually larger than the mountain itself), and building a "loading-screen-less" underground dungeon would be a real PITA with how the game handles cells..
and even if those wasn't issues, the level of mistakes the ai would be making without interior and exterior cells to help manage ai flow would likely make it the glitchiest thing Bethesda ever put out (and for someone as well know for glitches as Bethesda, thats not a good thing), which would ruin gameplay for people far worse than loading screens do
gotta remember, its a remaster we are getting, NOT a remake
Here's a few videos I found on YouTube.

I think what he meant was with consoles now having 64 bit technology. A lot of what you can do with the 32 bit version of Skyrim on PC would not be possible on a next gen console without the new engine since consoles can't have SKSE, so there is no way to fix the inherent memory problems Skyrim has with block 1 memory. Consoles cannot have any form of Sheson's memory fix since it require SKSE, so without a new engine, the ability to mod consoles would be pretty limited because of inherent memory limits in the old 32 bit engine.
I have only seen it happen if I fast traveled to a location inside a City or if a Dragon attacked outside a City and I went through the loading zone to the inside of the City and the dragon followed.
Ah. I hadn't thought of that. That would make more sense, yes.
I played it on pc. It was extremely instable on my old 32bit machine. Perhaps Skyrim silenly removed the inside encounters with dragons, but I really doubt that.
they didn't remove them, they are just rare..
like i said, if you want to see one, fast travel between cities a couple of times.. one will eventually trigger
