Do you Want piecemental armour?

I really can't get why people wouldn't want this?

There are people who don't like complexity.
They use the random generator's when creating their characters look.
Any thing between the combat action of the game is seen as interesting, but, ultimately annoying.

Those people don't matter. They need to leave so Bethesda doesn't ruin our game by catering to simplicity.

I missed Morrowind's armor selection and the unarmored skill.

I loved setting up my character with a gauntlet and pauldron on my shield arm, and neither on my sword arm. Unarmored also allowed me a little extra defense without a helmet, because seriously, screw helmets (the only exception being when you get to wear a bear head on your head).

Asymmetrical armor is sixyhot, hands down.

I don't care at all, I just want better armor mechanics. Morrowind's system is really no better than Oblivion's, it's all cosmetic.

I don't think clothes under armor is a good idea. If you wear armor you already wear a layer of padding under it so there's no need for clothes, and since you can't see the clothes under the armor anyway my guess is that people just want extra enchantments.

This is based on my interpretation feel free to point out faults.

But from what i heard you could bund different equipment load outs to hotkeys, to have city wear and dungeon crawling gear separate.
What i was hoping from that is that we get some ability to pick apart armor sets and use them in different sets.
So lets say you wipe out a bandit camp and decide to supplement your armor for theirs. One has leather, one in iron plate, and the last in chain.
So they all have full sets, but you decide to mix and match from them, you decide to take the iron plate gauntlet and pauldron for your shield side, the chain to protect your chest and legs, the leather boots and greaves, and no helmet, because your reckless like that.
So from these 3 full sets, you make your own.

Unlikely I know, but it sounded fun in my head.

I voted yes, but only if I can put on a brilliant Mythril cod-piece over my blacksmith pants.

But I digress. Yes some armor sets already have a layer of cloth/padding that supplments clothes, but there are many instances where clothes are worn under armor. Plus it does kinda make sense. You wouldn't wear cold, steel plate or a chainmail vest against your skin. Chafe horribly. You'd have to layer up with a tub of vaseline before every battle.

Of course you wouldn't wear it against your skin, you would wear cloth padding that would both help with chafing and protect against blows.

You wouldn't wear some velvet nobleman's outfit.

You might wear a silk shirt though, because that acutally has some utility. If you get shot with an arrow, wearing a silk shirt makes extracting the arrow easier.

Oh agreed. But I remember from Morrowind especially, that some armor (Steel/iron, maybe dwemer and a few others) doesn't actually provide padding/under garments as a part of the armor, hence the need for clothes. And in real life, would you not wear some sort of pants/shirt when wearing armor anyway? I mean, sure if it came with padding you might not need the full clothing kit, but there are so many real life instances where armor does make necessary the need for clothes. If you wear a leather jerkin, you'd normally wear a shirt under it. Quod erat demonstrandum.
