[REQz] If you want some oblivion mod armor set

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 10:41 am

yeah i tried darknuts better ebony armor, epic error. nothing but big yellow blocks. sooo idk if he didnt put the right textures in? i know i placed them all in the right places.

If you're getting yellow blocks, that's a mesh error - it's nothing to do with Darknut's mod as his is just a pluginless texture replacer, not a mesh replacer. Do you have another mod (with an esp file) that replaces the ebony armour? Like http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5894 perhaps?

well i uninstall and reinstall morrowind if i wanna clean it out of mods i no longer use, instead of picking each individual file.

and yeah, i used hedgehog-12's ebony. but i didnt use any other ebony replacer whilel using hedgehogs, and sorry, correction : hedgehogs was the one that errored up on me, not darknuts. but any idea why i get the yellow blocks when trying to use hedgehog's?

edit: maybe i didnt change the morrowind.ini file correctly, ill test it out again and see if it works.

quick question:

it asks to change my morrowind.ini file. it shows Archive 0-3

i have these

Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=MW_Children_1_0.bsa
Archive 3=MW_ch_orc.bsa

it asks for these

Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=BetterBodies2.0_1C.bsa
Archive 3=Better armor (rev3_Ebony).bsa

do i add a 4 and 5 for betterbodies and better armor?

btw: i do have better bodies

What? lol
You realize there are MUCH easier ways to do uninstall mods and their files.
http://www.mentalelfz.com/tesfiles.html being one method.

Yes, you have to register the BSA in your Ini, and make sure the files are in the correct places.

edit: i always find it funny when people blame the modder, when 99% of the time it's the user's fault.

Looks quite well imo.

I'd love to see the Oblivion http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15063 :cookie:

This. But get rid of the mohawk, or make it more morrowind's style.

Perhaps you're taking a break from this, but I don't suppose you'd consider making a conversion of http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13208 It's one of the few "sixy" mods that I think is pretty well done, since it actually covers the whole body :P

Well right now im not very active modwise, but im working on some resource that will be REALY helpfull in OB to MW armor stuff, i had an little elightment yesterday...

I was playing with converting Robert's body mod, mostly im always starting with moving the skeleton a bit to position the arms, then i got this little idea. What if we the body in position using only deformation of the skeleton? If we attach other armor parts from oblivion armor mod they will automaticly deform to fit our "Morrowindized" oblivion skeleton saving some mod time. With this we could for ex: convert some custom oblivion body mesh with couple of clothing/armor mods dedicated for this body without worring about fitting them. The only problem is the compatibility with our old better bodies (right now im aiming for as much compatibility as possible).

^^ I was wondering if this would be possible the other day. If you could get something like that to work for Morrowind, that would be amazing!
