I'm 99% sure that picture is a spriggan, I increased the zoom on my computer by a bunch and it looks like a bunch of roots. i dont see how it could be a flame Atronach

I don't think so because they are guardians of nature, as in woods (By there look). But maybe a frost version.

I don't mind if they're in. As long as there's more to kill than just spriggans and reiklings. and they die the first time I kill them. The were annoying in Bloodmoon but fine in Oblivion

I voted no. I didn't like spriggans...

But I suppose everyone else wants them, thats not going to hurt my gameplay really, they are just a less annoying cliffracer without the wings and far less of them...
Ahh cliffracers... [censored] cliffracers...

... a less annoying, non-flying, not as abundant form of a cliff racer? You, my friend basically just said spriggans are the opposite of Cliffracers lol. How are they similar exactly? Lol :P

As long as they are more like Trees/Ents and less like Dryads, and can be killed 3 times, coming back stronger each time.

I actually like the dryad look. The concept art does look more like an ent, though, if that's the case I'd keep my eyes peeled for a mod that makes them look like the ones from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/15073-2-1202044166.jpg or http://www.oblivionportal.com/info/images/spriggan.jpg. If you've ever peeled the bark off a dead branch, the wood really does look like smooth, pale skin.

According to the Skyrim map there's three forests.

Do you guys remember how in Daggerfall the spriggans would attack logging camps? That was pretty cool. You then had the choice of wiping them out or making a deal between them and the loggers.

When was this?

YOU MUST TELL ME!

It depends. Do the spriggans belong in Skyrim? Then yes.

Well, they were in Bloodmoon, where the geography of Solstheim was based on Skyrim. And Oblivion. And sounds like Daggerfall, too.

I'd like them to be a semi-peaceful creature--something like a wood nymph. I liked them a lot, but I wish they wouldn't attack me on sight.

This probably wouldn't work in past games. But now that we have wood chopping....

It would be really sweet if Spriggans showed up when you were cutting down trees or hunting deer.

Sure... I like Spriggans well enough.

In combat, they're a decent challenge... and they're otherwise rather cool looking. Besides, if they put them in... the it'll only be a matter of time before someone makes a mod that lets me play as one... and then... hell... I'm gonna run around Skyrim as a crazy tree-woman-monster. That ought to be worth a barrel of laughs.

But yeah. I see no reason not to include them, if they fit the setting... and history seems to show that they do well in cold and temperate climates alike.
