Do you want the 4 pre-order packs released?

Post » Sat May 29, 2010 10:38 pm

Made this topic somewhere in DLC board, but the poll question there was inaccurate, and I think it is more fitting here in general discussion.

Do you want them released free, for a reasonable price, or not at all?

And for second option, how much is a reasonable price for them? I use Xbox 360 so I'd say 60 MS points each (75 cents each), and all 4 in a bundle for 140 MS points sounds fair.

Yes, they should be released in the last DLC Lonesome Road as well as in the GOTY/Gold/Platinum/Goldfish version.
But, they should not be given to the players right away like the current packs are.
They should be placed around the gameworld for us to find.

Way I see it these pre-order packs were something we got before others as a special little somethin somethin but that they should be released to everyone else later on as well.
Does it devalue our pre-order packs?
Nope.
We got to use and play around with the items before everyone else but it's only fair they got to use the items at "some" point.
We who still have the preorder packs would still get the items at the start of the game.

It would be nice but alot of the stuff isnt overly needed at the start of the game and thought the whole vault 13 jumpsuit shouldent of been for a pre order thing if left in the game could of been a pretty decent quest or treasure finding it.

some Speical Effects could of been making all Khans Hostile while making some run away in fear same with general raiders

$5 each. I paid more than that for my classic code so that hardcoe wasn't so hard.

Nah, freebies you get at the start of the game would just make an easy game easier. I prefer having to earn the stuff you use. And that applies to mods too, no T-51b at Doc Mitchell's porch, please :hehe:

And those are just retextures of existing equipment with altered stats, i could make them myself in ten minutes. Well, not the textures.

No, they are called 'Pre-Order exclusives' for a reason. Just because you didnt Pre-Order it, doesnt mean Obsidian and Bethesda must cater to that cry of 'WE DESERVE IT'. It's not like they even add to lore, it's just a bunch of stuff to give the player a bigger foothold in the beginning.

This poll has no option to vote 'No'. POLL IS RACIST!

I really would like the light-weight leather armor, so yeah I'd probably get it if it was released at a reasonable price.

The classic pack gives a decided advantage in hardcoe, this is why I bought a code.

The "I don't care about them at all" is your 'No'.

And pre-order is not limited edition or anything, so not a big exclusive that must be safegaurded. Other games released their pre-order exclusives eventually (Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Dead Rising 2, Metro 2033, Just Cause 2, Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2, etc). I see a possibility. Bethesda can make some extra cash from releasing it, by selling them as stand-alone add-on or with a GOTY edition to boost the sales. Not asking for a freebie.

May I add that for all those games I mentioned in previous post, the pre-order exclusives for those came out under a small price, or included in a larger DLC.

I honestly couldn't care less, being a PC player.

But for 360 and PS3 players? I don't see why not.

No, but as we have the mod tools we can re-create them easily enough.

I would love to buy them via xbox live. I just found the Merc collectors edidtion here in Australia but i'm not paying $149 just to buy a game i already have to get a few new things.
