Do you want you're armor to be as customizable as your guns?

Post » Mon Jul 18, 2011 2:06 am

I made this for fallout New Vegas, it had overwhelming support (298 voted yes 18 voted no), yet the developers did not put it in the game. Likely because time constraints.

"Would you like to be able to add in bullet proof plates into your leather armor, but suffer from extra weight, and other problems. Add a layer of led in your clothing to reduce the effects of radiation. Add in some flame retardent material. Would you like to be able to change the color and pasterns on your armor and helms, and be able to add decals.

Guns have been made more customizable why not armor too?"

To add to it, weapon mod's need to be used by NPC's as well as myself. This would count Armor mods. For unique weapons, MAKE UNIQUE MODS! Seemed pretty simple to us. . .

Also, for handguns, if I shoot 5 shot's out of a 6 shooter, show all of the slots empty. They did not in the last. Also it would be nice to see the shell casing's hit the ground and stay there for a few seconds making sounds as they hit the ground.

What do you think?

I voted Yes, because there isn't a good reason to not have it.

Also bullets do fall out of the gun an lay there for a second, or at least for machine guns they do.

I would like to see armour mods yes, but ideally id like the armour system to be more like morrowind, so i can mix & match different parts of different armours. I want metal armour pauldrons over my leather jacket, with combat armour boots.

A lot of people miss that. You could also wear cloths over your armour, and have like 10 rings.

To be able to custom armour would be interesting. Mixing and matching light armours and so on. Maybe changing the colour or adding marking to them. Only problem I can see is the amount of programming it would take. For each piece of armour having it's own Damage Thersold covering different parts of the body.

I don't want the ability to change power armour in anyway other then the colour.

They could have you able to make some minor changes, such as doing something with the shoulders, but only other power armor can work with other power armor.

Some paint and simple markings on armor would be cool.

The rest of the stuff sounds like over kill. I don t want them spending another year to make it so I can switch armor parts.

Did he fire 6 shots, or only 5? I can care less if it is that detailed, because I want more than 1 more fo game made before I die.

More stuff means more time, and the potential for even more bug problems.
