Do you want your armor to be as customizable as your guns wi

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 7:57 am

Would you like to be able to add in bullet proof plates into your leather armor but suffer from extra weight and other problems. Add a layer of led in your clothing to reduce the effects of radiation. Add in some flame retardent material. Would you like to be able to change the color and pasterns on your armor and helms and be able to add decals.

Guns have been made more customizable why not armor too?

I want armor customizable!
Bullet proof plating is really what i was thinking, since leather isn't..

I Vote yes.

EDIT: Give your reasons for no, i already saw one no... i want to know what will be bad if they made armor like this.

Adding details to helmets and armor would be nice. I imagine it'd be like choosing preset looks for different areas of the armor in a haircut-style menu. But guns are more customizable now? How so?

Well you need to be keeping up friend. They added in mods for weapons like scopes longer magazines, ect.

Yeah I figured it would be cool to have actual working parts on my power armor. Like night vision, a flash light, and comm system that they all already have built into the helmet and god knows what else is in the armor. So much un tapped potential. As it is now the power armor is nothing more then a bullet catcher.

I stay away from the information because it's usually filled with too many spoilers for me. I just wanted a rough idea of what you were talking about.

Oh wish you would of said so I wouldn't told you so much. But, I like to think of it as if i don't see it and do it myself I will never know what that is like. It's why you buy a game if it wasn't like that one person could play it and we could all just watch them. lol

a built in com? who you gonna talk to? a better flashlight would be nice the pip boy light didnt cut it for me,
cant say i agree with decals and what not youre the only person whos going to see them and generally im always in first person mode anyways except when it shows my guy in vats,
being able to add benis to them like extra radiation protection or damage resistance to ballistic or impact would be cool, nothing to extreme though

Maybe some slight armor customization, but not too over-the-top.

Who will I talk to? Easy my companions. That way I can send them off to do other task on main missions kinda like dogmeat. Or Brotherhood of steel or is it NCR in this next one that are prominet protaganist of the area?

Yeah im the only ones who is going to see it you just made my point for me. So shouldn't it look like more my persinality then? Heck then I would even have me an worthy avatar.

I don't see how you could go extreame with this? it's not like you would see a guy carrying a 12 foot 1 foot thick plate of steel on your chest that completly blocks damage lol

Well if it "slows you done(down?)" then you really don't have to add decals or add some awesome black paint to your powerarmor then it wouldn't be like we would run in your living room hold you down and put decals on your guy while screaming in your ear and you later talk about how less of a man and insecure you feel . . . you get it form of [censored] lol.

Anyway random funny thought. I don't see how customization can go over board. Even if it was very funny I wouldn't see it as all that bad because I would be killing people and laughing while I did it and so would they so they would in a way die a happy death lol.

It's a post-apocalyptic world. Not so much of the fancy smancy technology is available in the Fallout universe as it is in our universe.

Lol "Oh lord this sea is so big, and my boat is so small." So we don't have paint, metal, lead, heat source or baterys? *Looks at his fusion batery that is hundreds of years ahead of our current fusion technology and blinks*

You do realize that putting together paint, metal, lead, heat and batteries would not make a comm system or night vision goggles, right?

Haha for some reason it wouldn't let me edit.. >.<

The last best hope of humanity is kinda right, fallout has a lot of good stuff, but since the world just got bombed, Fallout doesn't have that much any more.. Anyways i would like to search for things to give that.. Post-apocalyptic feel.

EDIT: I want Armor customizable, slight changes, and good armor add-ons are hard to find.

Maybe if armor customization is an investment like the weapons. You really want to stick with that item after putting so much into it.

I think there should be some kind of armor shop where you can have the vendor customize your armor. You could have the guy modify a set of power armor to be a scout model so that it is very light and mobile but still offers more protection than leather. Or you could take a set of combat armor and add more protection to the legs area because you're tired of being crippled when you set off mines.

As long as it isn't over the top with lasers and mini-cannons or some other crap it's fine with me. I think it should be basic stuff, add more protection, increase mobility, reduce weight, and stuff like that.

I think there should be a lot of lead lying around In a places that were preparing for nuclear war ,that's what they use to stop radiation Isn't it. You would obviously find a lot of lead around. I think armor attachments should not be very complicated night vision and thermal should be about the most advanced you should find ,stuff like flash lights, lighter and more heavy armor should be more basic and common. :vaultboy:

I'd like some way to remove or add bonuses from armor. Tesla armor is the only power armor I'd use in Fallout 3 because it was the only one without an agility hit. There should be something like Oblivion's enchanting for armor. :)

It would be cool to change the camouflage of the armor, depending on the type of armor there should be some type of upgrades.
Combat Armor has a lot of unplated/uncovered areas such as the stomach/arms/face/lower back. Addition plates would be nice but slow you down.
Power Armor can be only changed through camouflage because the technology just can't be modded by any random engineer, only a scientist can.

There really should be a better flash light kinda like the ones in left for dead 2 but a bigger area and yes you should be able to mod your armour based on repair like 80 or higher to mess with the inside of power armour but 5 to paint it and 40 on combat armour kinda thing and you can add random junk to make it look cool.

No decals, or labeling, that just seems kinda stupid in a single player game. But extra protection, mobility, nightvision, and other goodies would be cool. Maybe some bandoleers, or a backpack.
