Tough pick. Being a scribe probably means being one of the few genuinely educated people in the wasteland, but being a paladin just sounds so fun.

Wearing power armor and wielding a gauss rifle sounds fun no matter what, even if you are just standing around all day.

The Scribes catalog and make designs. The knights act on them. The Paladins use them.

Knight or Paladin - Building and Testing equipment sounds fun but so does using it in battle.

I would be a paladin until I've gotten enough training then I'd go rouge and flee with a bunch of stolen goods.

Typically when you're a Paladin that's when all your training is done Gabe...

Well, I'd still be an official Paladin for 15 seconds. ;)

Definitely a scribe, because I'm an intellectual. (or I like to think I am, at least)

Fallout 3
Knights were treated like Paladins they were just warriors.

Other Fallout titles.
They repair and maintain the weapons and armor for the Paladins to use. They do however rank up to Paladin.

They act on the plans the scribes make. Wether if it's a laser pistol, or T-51b Power Armor.

Scribes are the brains but are pretty ignorant. BoS wouldnt lack anything but recalection of their history without them. The knights get what needs to be done..whether it be crush the muties in the face with a super sledge, or keep power tech from idiots that will start another war.

Paladin, since I would be MWBoS, I'd get access to that badass PA, wreck [censored], and of course drill new recruits.

Paladin = Respect.

How? If memory serves, only a Paladin or knighted honorary member is permitted/able to wear it.

I am confused over being a Paladin.. Why is it a position you can just join? Fallout 3 messed that up and New Vegas continues it. Fallout the one that started it all you can only become an Initiate the lowest rank. They send you on suicied mission and they only make you the lowest rank. Tactics backs that up, you start out as an Initiate. Fallout 3 and New Vegas they just make you a Paladin  So its a rank and a position?

Paladin is apparently handed out like those pilots wings at airport terminals for kids (Maybe they dont do that anymore, I don't know, it's been over 16-17 years since I've been on a plane )

(Styles, Lyons made the Lone Wander a Knight, using the CWBoS Rank system, that is not that high. In NV they make The Courier a Paladin for making Shadow puppets on the wall.

In the East Coast, it is more of a rank, one step above initiate, while on the West coast it is like a Caste system, one step above junior paladin. If you need more clarification, let me know, as this Knight Sergeant has been studying on the topic.)

Knights are still high up on the scale. Point is all the Brotherhood no matter where they are see themselves as brotherhood. They would have the same system. Some where along the line things got messed up.

Fallout 3 you don't do anything and they make you a paladin and New Vegas they make you do more but still. Fallout the game that starts it all make you a initiate after sending you to die at the glow backed up by Fallout Tactics where you start out as an initiate.

Fallout 3 you don't do anything and they make you a paladin for nothing and New Vegas they make you do more but still.

Ehh....you got it backwards there Styles. In Fallout 3 you are only made a Paladin after retrieving a GECK in the ruins of the supermutant stronghold that is Vault 87, breaking through Enclave lines (with LP leading the way of course...) and re-capturing the purifier and "sacrificing" yourself (or at least getting wounded in action) by starting the purifier.

In New Vegas you are made a paladin by running a few errands for the guys...
