If YOU were in Skyrim

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 5:59 pm

If Skyrim was real and you (in reality, not your character) were born there and to you it was your reality, how would you fare if all the goings on around you (civil war, alduin etc.) were happening, but you weren't Dovahkiin?

I would probably actually join the college of winterhold and reside there with civil war I probably wouldn't be too concerned as I am not on either side. with dragons and alduin I could just hope the dragonborn kills him and I'm safe, that or dark brotherhood for reals

I'd go to the nearest temple when I was old enough and learn the healing arts. From there, I'd either establish myself as a healer, or enlist in the Empire as a field-healer. I might learn Alchemy as well, to augment my skills.

I figure I'd be VERY helpful as a healer, and save many lives to continue the fight. I'd contribute more than if I were a soldier, and I'd be safer myself.

Ideally? I'd become a healer or merchant.

More likely? I'd hide in my basemant until it was all over.

This would be a good question for anyone living in Ireland during the fights with the IRA:P

I would probably try to get a job as a blacksmith. Failing that, I would attempt to join the companions or some other fighter's association. At the very last, I might head to my local Jarl and join his guard force. Something like that.

I would probably stay away from magic and the legion. I wouldn't object to joining a temple though, if it came to that.

I would set myself up as a questgiver in some remote location with lots of cloud cover.
Then I'd point and laugh at the dragonborn as his useless overhead map would lead him on the wrong path to me.

I'd dedicate myself too the Nine Divines and the Imperial Legion, work to become as strong and wise as possible and do what I could to assist people like Dovahkin.

Try to rise through Military and Political ranks and crusade against the selfish and barborous.

I would tag along with the khajit caravans selling skooma. Then establish my own guild of thieves in windhelm. After bringing the stormcloaks to power, my thieves would infiltrate their highest ranks and deliver my orders.

Join the College at Winterhold, learn magic. Probably make some resist fire/frost enchantments and hope I don't die via dragon-induced flashfreezing/spontaneous combustion.

If I were in Skyrim, I would probably die off randomly while im at home in a village. Then some poor sob would inherit my wealth via courier with a letter. 30 hours latter, he would then receive permanent skill damage on his main offensive skill thus causing him to commit suicide.

I would die a very bloody, yet honorable viking death. Hope to have helped enough people beforehand to be named Thane just so they can send me out in a nice ship before my dead body is shot at with flaming arrows on my way to Valhalla.

I'd become a blacksmith or lumber mill worker in a small settlement, seems like an easy enough life if you're not scared of a little hard work. Your community needs and respects you, outsiders aren't going to bother you too much unless they want to spend gold. I'd just pray a dragon didn't decide to burn down my village.

It's hard to say since a lot of it depends on where I was born and what my parents did and things like that, as none of it in reality is really applicable in Skyrim. But I'd want to live in Markarth. I'd explore the school of Restoration and Illusion. Then, I'd dedicate my life to the study of the Dwemer. In doing so, I'd probably inevitably find out about their fate, the Heart of Lorkhan, and all that jazz, and so I'd then pursue the Heart of Lorkhan and godhood. I'd probably die by ripping my own heart out in a failed attempt to mantle Shor, assuming a random cave bear or one of the numerous Dwemer animunculi didn't kill me before that.
