If you were thrown into the D.C. Wasteland, where would you

I would probably live in Rivet City for it's trading mecca but I could also possibly think of living in Megaton beacuse of it's community.

Do Nagasaki and Hiroshima deserve to be blown up since it is rebuilt around where it got bombed?

I'm with Martyr on this one, also another place I'd like to live in is the Pitt because then I could bring the free slaves to order and map out and explore the city. But then i'd need to attract more citizens because the slaves cant have children, so i'd turn it into a trading hub if I can with the Pitts abundant scrap metal.

This argument hardly makes sense... Claiming that Megaton deserves to be blown up because it was built around a bomb is NOTHING like saying Nagasaki or Hiroshima deserve it because it was ALREADY bombed... Megaton simply deserves it because they willingly built their civilization around a potentially dangerous bomb... I personally don't think they deserve it, but I wouldn't be surprised or feel all that bad if the bomb went off... They made their bed when they moved in. But my point is that Naga or Hiro is a terrible comparison... It made no sense at all. People from Naga or Hiro didn't build their town with the knowledge they might potentially be bombed.....

I'm not saying that Megaton isn't stupid for building their town like they did. But by his logic, places that have been bombed in real life deserve to be bombed again because they didnt learn their lesson.

But in a way, you can understand Megatons plight. In it's beginnings, it was made by survivors of the War, but they couldn't just live anywhere, they took refuge in the crater the bomb made, they were going to move it, but some people started worshipping the bomb as a deity, and they needed those people to help put the walls up, plus, after so many years, you can't really blame Megaton for not moving it, I mean seriously, would YOU want someone DRAGGING a potentially unstable nuclear bomb on the ground? Now, I myself would not live anywhere near Megaton while the bomb is active. I'd rather live in the Pre-War comfort of TPT.

Silly. Rivet City isn't the trading capital of D.C., Cantabury Commons is.

I've been thinking of living in the citadel. I could probably live in one of the barracks areas.

Kaelyn's bed and breakfast. I'd turn it into a brothel.

I don't think its a very good idea to say this but, what the hell, I might as well be honest. With all the nice weapons, 590 stimpaks, supplies, and 15,000+ caps my character has, I would make a will donating all of my stuff to the Brotherhood of Steel and the Regulators and put a bullet in my brain. I would rather die than live in a world like that, and I would know that all my caps and supplies would go to a, hopefully, greater cause than just one explorer going out and endlessly killing raiders for more caps that he doesn't spend.

If this was RL and I wasn't the invincible lone wanderer...probably Rivet City...safest place ever! And you can even get some sun if you want! Good stuff...but jobs seem like they'd be hard to comeby...how do people really make money in the wasteland if they don't sell things or aren't boy scouts?

Personally, I don't think anyone here has been thinking big enough.

I would march right up to the Capitol Building, challenge their leader (hopefully something like a super mutant behemoth - that'll get their attention) to a duel, and once I'd kicked his [censored] I would live out the rest of my days in comfort in the Capitol Building with my army of super mutants doing my bidding.
That is how you should live out the rest of your apocalyptic days!

But....there's not even a building there, just the burnt out frame. D:

I assume this is why it would make a good brothel.

Surprised nobody's said this but I would build a shack in oasis next to Harold. Me and him would chill all day and talk about how stupid the tree Minders are. I would get Harold to say that I'm the only one who can fully understand him so they talk through me.
