To you, what is the most powerful/effective perk?

Post » Wed Dec 07, 2011 8:53 am

To me, the best perk in the game is the top sneak perk. Which allows me to one hit kill most enemies. As long as I stab a hostile enemy with a dagger within 1 second of going into sneak mode, I can instantly get a finishing move. *Note* this perk is only effective after obtaining the 15x damage multiplier perk for daggers which is also a sneak perk.

I think that the slow motion with bows perk is very useful. I'm able to shoot dragons out of the sky, now, thanks to that ability. It's very satisfying.

I like being able to make steel armor/weapons in the Smithing perk tree!

Probably the x15 damage multiplier on daggers, took off 20% of a Frost Dragon's health with that ability just a few minutes ago. As for how in the hell I managed to sneak up on a ground level Frost Dragon? Long story...

Hmmm, I'm a heavy armor, 1h/shield warrior right now. I would have to say... Probably the 1h perk that makes 1h weapons do 100% more damage. What's more helpful than killing everything in half the swings?

Unless you're only level 7, and/or playing on Novice, it's very hard to believe this.

So is this thread about the most powerful/effective, or just your favorite? Because the sneak perk is nowhere near the "most powerful" perk at all. It's also extremely limited.

In order of "power":

1. Daedric (Smithing)
2. Twin Souls
3. Shadow Warrior
4. Double Enchant

Can you not read the thread title? See that part where it says "To you, what is the most powerful/effective perk?", up at the top? That's what this thread is about.

Yes I can read what the thread title says, but the topic creator then gives a reply that's more like "this is my favorite". How can you ask what you think the most "effective" perk is and then list something so limited?

Double Enchant

The ability to have 2 really good enchantments on a weapon can out do the base damage on the weapon

The OP said what he feels is the most effective/powerful perk... just like the thread title suggests...

No he didn't. He said:

That's entirely different from powerful/effective. I like kittens the best, but Tigers are more powerful. Not the same thing.

I can't say for the most powerful/effective, but my favorite so far is the silent forward roll perk in the sneak tree. Doing a sneak attack execute immediately after a silent forward roll is....satisfying. :foodndrink:

That being said, I never use a bow, but if I did, my favorite would probably be the slo-mo perk in the Archery tree.

And your original post was trying to state your opinion as fact... so everyone in this thread is doing crazy things... let's move on.

2x Enchants
2x Atronachs
Daedric Smithing
15x Dagger Backstab
30% Spell Absorption

All pretty powerful, not sure a single one is most powerful but I'd vote for 2x Enchants if I had to pick.

It's about the perk that you personally find the most useful in your play style. And I fail to see how it's limited, with dual wield steel daggers I can one hit kill just about everything at level 27.

Probably this, since it makes the good 'ol magic damage/soul trap + Azura's Star combo possible.

the archery tree vs dragons is beast u combine with the magic block for shields dragons turn into kittens( sure they can scratch u but no harm done) but 15x damage is over powered cuz sneaking is a grey area ive been seen standing up and gotten sneak damage
