Okay, i know its not just me, but when the character creation screen popped up for the first time, i reeled back in fright from how hideous i looked. The giant cheek creases makes every one look like their in the 40's, amongst other details. Yes my age slider is all the way down...

What is needed is a smoother complexion, and to edge out some of those age defining features. I'm no face sculptor, but something tells me its not just for lack of skill.

is there any additional presets (not new saves) to use for a base? I'd love to swap me up abit, make myself look better, but its difficult w/o a ground to start on.

i think my one of issues is with not being able to control the width of the chin. Its always jutting out, and is super defined. I cant seem to smooth it out with the jaw line like how i want.

I had much problem getting the type of facial shapes I wanted as well, especially the chin/jaw area. I always suggest making a face in the GECK and setting that as a preset for in-game. You'll find the interface much easier to use there, plus you can use the mouse to shape the face rather than just sliders.

Had no clue you could do that. Mind to tell me exactly how to set it?

I couldn't get a decent face.... I svck at making faces but good god after half an hour and still looking like the love child of Quasimodo and Frankenstein's Monster, I finally just gave up and started adventuring...

IIRC Dracomies, author of the great Dragon Age Redesigned and Project Beauty (FO3) mods mentioned something about a New Vegas version of her PB mod on the FO3PB mod page

Okay, so i messed with GECK and did a really good job on the face i made. But when i made it a preset and put it in game, it turned into a troll. WTF.

I think it just snapped all my customized sliders to the nearest thing in the char creator.

Any way to get it to stick for good?

He updated his Dragon Age mod last week so I don't think he's gone. Here's hoping he's not, Project Beauty and DA Redesign are absolutely essential mods for me.

He uploaded what he had, but I think he's done.

Shame that the NV face stuff works differently, it doesn't look like a quick and easy port of the face textures is possible.

That's a tragedy. I've been kinda hanging back from playing New Vegas specifically because I want a Dracomies mod to fix all the crap characters.
