Dont think this qualifies as epic but it was funny. On free side some guy comes running up to me with spiked brass knuckles wanting me to fork over my money. Suddenly he realizes who I was and started appoligizing telling me how he has a wife and kids and pets and on and on as he starts to run off. half ways down the street I pull out my cowboy repeater and one hollow point bullet to the back of the skull. People just walked along like nothing happened.

Now the epic one was when in the powerplant tower (the solar plant) and all these freaking protectrons started coming out of the wood work. I stayed on the stairs with a view through the door and right when they came into view I started spamming with my incenerator and pretty much wiped out all 6 of them without them getting a shot off at me. Now earlier in the level it was pretty hard that damn robobrain was a pain in the ass to take out.

Mine was late last night. Varmint rifle w/ night vision scope, middle of the night. I see the red indicator that something is up ahead (9 PER, btw). I look through the scope and see two Powder Gangers 300-350 yards out. I can BARELY make them out through the scope even. Two bullets, two kills in less than a second.

Of course, I got ambushed and destroyed ten minutes later.

Tutorial - Sneaking up on my first encounter with wasteland wildlife, I cautiously rounded the outcrop and peered at the well in the distance. Jumping into VATS highlighted a lone nasty behind a clump of weeds, no chance for a shot. As I began my approach, I noticed movement further up the vale. VATS produced nothing, so I brought the iron sights up on my new varmint rifle... headshot cinema at it's best!

Reading the forums about how awesome the game is, while waiting for friday until it get's released in EU :ahhh: when i could very easily already had obtained it trough a 'certain source'.
I think that deserves a medal ? no ?

Running away from Golden Geckos at level 5, fell down a hill. I had hardly any health, six bullets, and was being approached. I went into VATS, and there was only 36% chance of hitting it as it crested the hill. So I took the shots anyway, as it jumped. I got three critical hits as it soared through the air, and it's dead body landed on my face. Just then, I was blindsided by another three and got killed. Still epic though.

Plus, I shot my own dynamite before it exploded without VATS. That was awesome.

O I might also mention that sniping Powder Gangers with a varmint rifle that's fully modded out is hilarious and some great fun.

Well it wasn't an epic moment for my character but it was an epic moment in the game.
I was used to Fallout 3's 1 to 3 radscorpions at a time.
So when I went north 30 minutes in I ran like a fox that has had it's tail caught on fire from around 7 giant radscorpions and 5 regular radscorpions.
That was pretty epic IMO by the game.
Scared my organs out of me.

Next was me + incinerator with low ammo + amazing tactics + a dozen super mutants and nightkin at black mountain.

Next was by Raul, I was at the place were there are a lot of feral ghouls in some camp when four of them charged at me when I was at like 10% health.
As I backtracked for my life with them a meter in front of me I saw one die, then the next, then the next and finally the last one died in the slow-mo ending sequence.
On the hill to my left was Raul who took them out with headshots.
I might just have to take a bubblebath with him to show him my appreciation.
Eddy on the other hand was buzzing around on the street... <_<

I saw a few Powder Gangers somewhere near NCRCF. They didn't notice me, so I pulled out my silenced Varmint rifle and BOOM! Headshot!

That was pretty early in the game, so I thought it was awesome.

When I cut off Davisons head with a straight razor, his face screamed "ANTLER!" as it rolled.

Boone and I perched ourselves outside of a Legion infested town and systematically eliminated every Legion soldier that ED-E detected in range. Silently and quietly without stepping foot into town. The epic moment came when we finally entered the town, freed some NCR troopers, and there wasn't one Legion soldier left to try to stop us. Waltzed out if there without a care in the world with all the NCR troopers intact.

A bit north of Goodsprings about 2 hours into the game....

Hmm. Well I suppose punching a fleet of Giant Radscorpions in the face until they all died was pretty epic. I was level 4 and I was using Spiked Knuckles with and Unarmed skill of 35 + Heavy Handed. I ran into a pack of those snake-dogs and before I could fire at them them over 5 Giant Scorpions skittered out from the dust storm and killed them all. They noticed me immediately(Sneak of 20 lol), and so I decided to try and punch them all to death.

I was stung once and lost nearly ALL my health. Luckily that sting happened only moments before I finished the final Scorpion with an epic, real time power attack! They're hard hitting beasts but their movements are as predictiable as they where in FO3.

When i killed the Lonesome Drifter and grabbed his gun, the thought of what this implied rushing into my brain, and me pulling it out hearing, for the first time in FO:NV, the best sound ever. Then i shot some dude. Not as epic as the music but damn, I HAZ MYSTERIOUS STRANGER GUN!

Epic line, indeed.

Fighting the muties to get to tabitha. I was on my last mutie I had stimpack sickness, radiation poisoning, and a crippled head. I had 1 hitpoint left, then boom headshot on the last mutie lol I crouched, and healed up the best I could, and carried on. I have never had a battle in fallout 3 be that satisfying. I officially love this game :fallout:

One-hitting my first monster with the Varmit Rifle at 300 paces.

Epic moment? Popping Caesar's elite guards' heads in iron sights mode on hard. Especially when I got one and then another during the wtf moment of seeing his friend's brain chunks spray all over him before caution and danger could kick in. What happened after was an epic battle with the 3rd guy standing there that had this Leonidas look to him. OK so it wasn't a battle it was more "omg omg he's chasing me he's going to stick his foot up my bum!"

Also worth mentioning is powering up Fisto.

The first epic moment though was turning the game on. After hours of waiting for it to install, and all those days of waiting for it to release, I almost had a heart attack. lol

I was being chased by that guy at Goodsprings who tries to rob you after scamming you to kill the geckos..only he trod on his own beartrap then fell off the cliff.

Best epic fail is one I just posted on the cheats, hints and spoilers board - Something to do with the Come Fly With Me Quest.

So playing on hardcoe mode, I got my head, left arm and leg crippled. In the middle of nowhere. Get attacked by three Rad Scorpions, Powdergangers and other enemies. I some how survive and find a shelter that had two hydras. I use them to fix my crippled limbs. I get addicted to them while my H20 and FOD meters were high. Long story short, that whole half hour sequence was epic in it's own weird way because I survive it.

The one that stood at the most for me was
WARNING: MAJOR POSSIBLE END GAME SPOILER

I was outside Vegas and was just coming out of the Crimson Caravan Company when I hear an NPC yelling something at me. I turn to the left to see a Fiend walking towards me firing shots from a laser pistol. She managed to get off two shots and I barely had time to draw my revolver when suddenly I hear the crack of a gunshot and see the Fiend's head explode right in front of me. I turn to see Boone standing beside me, aiming down the scope of his hunting rifle.

Frickin' awesome.

Do funny moments count as epic?

I was talking to a guy named Barton Thorn. He wanted me to safe his wife from some Geckos on a hill above me. I went up, killed all the Geckos and looked around to find the woman. All I found was some rotten corpses and a dead guy with usefull stuff laying around everywhere. I took all the stuff and climbed back down, as suddenly this Barton Thorn guy showed up and was saying something like:

"I'm sorry for lying, but now that you've killed all the Geckos I can take all the good stuff. But first I'm going to kill you"

I don't know what he is exactly saying in English as I own the German version. But right after he ended his sentence he tried to come closer to embroil me into a melee fight...to bad I was like 45 feet (15 meters) under him, as I climbed down the hill and not walked back on the trail. You can imagine what happened then. The funny thing was, he fell exactly in front of my face and I just had to take what was on him. I couldn't stop laughin for a minute or so, specially because the guy was talking so cunning and thought to be a real gangster... :rofl:

The second picture was his "wife" I think...this is what you get when you have the German, censored version of the game. They show rotten and nibbled corpses, but you're not allowed to see blood and dismemberment. Sometimes I think my country is simply hypocritical and hillarious.

My 1st epic moment was one of those WTF moments... lol
It started as me getting out of the beginning place then i started going north through deathclaw territory. i got warned by some NPCs, but even though i was going that way i didnt see any.. till i got farther in, i could finally see New Vegas really good when a death claw came up at me, i ran got it stuck on a rock and beat it to death with a crowbar.. (at the time i didnt realize how hard the game was even on easy, and i had it on very hard). so finally i started walking towards the city when i heard a noise.. I heard my guy go. UGHHHH and something growl and then my guy flew into like 50 pieces and got dismembered and a big deathclaw face just turned up on my screen. I was like WTF OMG OMFG OMFG just about whipped my controller at my screen lol

I saw a cute baby fire gecko run down from the hill off the road and just blow fire on the road... looking like it was just messing around. I thought I'd pop it's head off anyways, but apparently it's full grown family of 5 were watching from higher on the hill and came to its defense. Pretty heated battle!
