Some Argonians have names that the common people can't pronounce. These are their normal names. If that's the case, they use a translated meaning, which non-Argonians can understand. These hyphenated names are to show the extended meaning of their names. A single word that means those hyphenated words together
A lot of the time it isn't a translation. Many seem to take the poetic Adjective names that fit their current state of being, particular talents or something else that sets them apart from other people, like Hauls-Ropes-Faster the shiphand, or Runs-In-Circles, or Quill-Weave the writer, or City-Swimmer, etc.
Perhaps all Argonian names are always discriptive, even the ones in their own tongue that others find difficult to pronounce. Hmm.
When I make an Argonian, the name they usually go by Is-Not-Important.
