I usually wear Leather Reinforced Armor outside of combat but when I get into combat I'll switch over to the T 51b Power Armor. I'm not a big fan of the Remmants armor I just don't like the 400 health that the armor has.

Usually I just wear some type of Leather Armor for the entirety of the storyline. But going mutant hunting requires a nice suit of Power Armor (T-51b, duh) to back me up.

I'm currently using Reinforced Combat Armor MK2 With a Reinforced Combat Helmet MK2. Best so far I have got.

I am equipped with:

1st Recon Beret - +1 PER AND +5% crit chance? Hell yeah!
Rebreather - Makes me look like a total badass. And I guess breathing underwater is kinda cool.
T-51b Power Armor - It's got all the buffs, but none of the drawbacks

I'm wearing Benny's suit. Trying to take as much damage as possible for the "Desert Survivalist" Achievement. Plus, I always like to look classy. If I get into a spot where I know I'm going to need the armor, I slap on the NCR Ranger Combat Armor (On the cover), and try to keep on living.

vault 34 riot armor... straight beast with 16 DT and its light armor... and its only worth 55 caps at full repair compaired to combat armor which ahs 16 DT and is medium armor and is worth 5000 caps.. seriously wtf with that?

Sounds broken based off of that.. but what's even more is that I probably skimmed over it when I was raiding it.. Sometimes, I just don't take the time to look.. better go back there and see if I can find it.

I blew up the brotherhood, so i don't no how i will get power armor training. Right now i like the black combat armor, combat helmet and the rebreather.

For most of game I ran around with the Brahmin outfit (the one that looks like overalls), the ballcap with glasses and a hunting rifle.

Another one weighing in with the 1st Recon Beret, Sunglasses, and Bounty Hunter Duster. I'll eventually swap to remnants armor, but that beret is never being unequipped. It's just way too good.

For act 1 I stayed with reinforced leather armour and hoarded my caps. Then before going to visit Legion territory I splurged and bought a Reinforced Combat Armour Mark 2 and a Sniper Rifle.

So right now, I am going around with a Reinforced Combat Armour II and a Sheriff's hat (the colour matches great, too). Perhaps using the 1st recon beret when appropriate.

the reinforced combat armor helmet plus the rebreather looks like a jet pilot helmet, it looks totally amazing.

Also, I just wear recon armor with that.

I don't want to use any armor that slows me down (medium and hard), and so far I haven't liked the look of any of the better light armors I've found. I also don't want to wear anything that's classified as a disguise, meaning NCR armor is out of the picture for me, despite supporting the NCR.

The Bright Follower's Robes do the trick for me... Sadly they're a dingy green/brown color, and not the sweet blue or red the BoS wear

After spending 15 minutes and using most of my ammo "sniping" (with out a sniper gun) deathclaws on top of a hill........I have some Remnants power armor. Woot.
